Chapter 121 - CHAPTER 121: THE DAY BLADHEX FALLS

That day became a legend—a mark etched into the history of the Central Empire.

The reason?

Every BladeHex member involved in that incident resigned immediately after returning to their headquarters.

But the truth behind their sudden retirement was kept a secret.

The reason…

Was Kaien. He had stood alone… and defeated five BladeHex members in a 5-versus-1 battle.

Without receiving a single scratch.

[Then we saw the past flashback]

kaien is about to take leave .

But the other BladeHex members, blinded by arrogance and convinced of their own strength, saw no potential in the chosen girl.

Believing themselves superior, they challenged Kaien—eager to prove they were more worthy of the Blade of Light.

Kaien stood alone.

His presence calm—almost bored. But his eyes, glowing faintly with light, told another story:

This was not a man to be taken lightly.

A few meters ahead, five members of BladeHex stood in formation, aligned in a loose arc.

Their auras flared—cocky, confident, and dangerous.

From the center stepped their leader—Feron, tall and sharp-eyed, with a presence that burned even when his flames didn't.

His magic simmered beneath the surface, waiting to erupt.

Feron (Fire Magic): "We're here to reclaim what's rightfully ours. That sword… hand it over."

Kaien said nothing.

Feron continued: "Fine. Let's make a deal.

If we win, the sword comes with us.

If we lose… you can do whatever you want."

Kaien gave a simple nod. Agreement made.

Feron stepped forward, unbothered. His aura surged.

Flames spiraled up his blade, forming a blazing inferno.

Kaien drew both blades—

One humming with radiant light, the other crackling violently with lightning.

Feron charged.

But in a blink—Kaien disappeared.

Feron halted his momentum—eyes searching—

Then—

CRACK!

A lightning arc slashed from behind.

Feron spun and blocked just in time, feet skidding on the stone.

Feron (angrily): "Don't be a coward. Face me head-on!"

Suddenly, Kaien was already there—

Appearing before him, crossing both blades in a swift X-cut.

BOOM!

The blow launched Feron like a cannonball, flung far into the air, crashing into rubble.

Before the dust settled—

Sora, the wind-user—slim, fast, and silent—dashed forward.

His curved blade shimmered like glass, cloaked in near-invisible wind.

Sora: "Wind Magic: Shifting Edge!"

His blade flickered, vanishing and reappearing mid-swing.

Wind razors burst in every direction.

But Kaien moved like flowing silk—

Light spiraling around his steps—he vanished again, then reappeared behind Sora.

Kaien: "Too open."

CLANG!

A clean block. Then—

A flash of light exploded from Kaien's sword. One pivot. One strike.

CRACK!

Sora was flung like a ragdoll, crashing into a rock wall.

But Kaien didn't get a moment to breathe.

The earth cracked.

Duron, the earth brute, burst from the ground. Armor plated his entire body—massive, monstrous.

Duron: "Earth Magic: Tremor Pillar!"

The ground surged with jagged stone—spikes shooting up like spears.

Kaien didn't dodge.

He stomped—once.

"Lightning Pulse."

Energy exploded beneath him, lightning consuming the earth. The spikes melted.

Duron swung.

Kaien parried—spark against stone.

They clashed with brute force.

Stone met speed.

Power met precision.

Kaien ducked, lightning flashing under his boots.

A clean upward slash shattered Duron's ankle guard.

CRACK!

Then—another flash of motion—

Duron was blasted back, tumbling through dust and shattered stone.

But even before Duron hit the ground, another ripple came.

Liya stepped forward—elegant, poised, water dripping from her slim, precise blade.

Liya: "Water Magic: Tidal Fang!"

A whip of water lashed toward Kaien's back.

Kaien twisted—his second blade now radiating with pure lightning.

SPLASH—CRACK!

Water met lightning—and lost.

A violent burst of steam shot skyward.

Kaien: "Wrong choice."

He vanished again.

Then reappeared mid-motion, twin blades slashing in an arc.

Liya gasped—her shoulder guard exploded. She was thrown back, still conscious, but barely.

She wouldn't get up again.

A sharp snap echoed.

The final one before Feron stepped forward.

Zeth, lightning user—cocky, grinning. Golden veins sparked across his arms like living wires.

Zeth: "Let's see if your lightning's real."

They clashed mid-air—lightning on lightning.

Thunder cracked. Blades rang.

Zeth: "Lightning Magic: Sky Javelin!"

A glowing spear of pure lightning launched at Kaien.

Kaien raised one hand—calm, focused.

"Light Magic: Mirror Veil."

The javelin curved—redirected—and pierced straight through Zeth's side.

Zeth froze. Gasped. Fell.

But it wasn't over.

The others, bruised but not unconscious, began rising again.

Feron (grinning):

"Let's end this. Together.

Break him."

They surged forward—

Wind. Water. Earth. Lightning. Fire.

All at once.

Kaien looked at them.

And smiled.

Finally—his magic flared.

Kaien took a breath, stepped back—

"Radiant Surge."

Light and lightning wrapped around both of his blades in a dazzling aura.

Then—he vanished.

CLANG! CLASH! ZZZZT!

He moved faster than any eye could follow.

He parried Duron's hammer strike, countered Liya's water whip, dodged Zeth's sky-forged javelin, and deflected Sora's razor wind.

Then—he met Feron's flaming blade head-on.

Sparks flew as steel clashed. Blades sang, cutting through stone, sky, and pure magic.

Kaien twisted—jumped—aerial spin!

He kicked off Duron's shoulder, flipping behind Sora—

"Flash Cutter."

One arc of light—Sora down. KO.

Dash—

He slashed through Zeth's lightning arm. KO.

Liya retreated—too slow.

Kaien's blade sent a wave of searing light. Her stance broke. KO.

Duron slammed the ground—

Kaien struck forward, piercing his chest armor with a lightning blade. KO.

But—

0.3 Seconds — The First Blitz

Wind struck first.

Sora vanished in a burst of pressure, his curved sword slicing horizontally like a crescent gust.

Kaien turned, parried with his lightning blade—sent a jolt surging through both weapons.

Sora flinched, arm spasming from the shock.

0.6 Seconds — Water Cut

Liya slid in low on a stream of water, her sword gleaming like liquid ice.

Kaien pivoted, slammed his elbow into her guard, sending her flying back. But—

1.1 Seconds — Triple Threat

Duron exploded from beneath.

"Earth Magic: Slab Ascension!"

A chunk of the battlefield rose like a jagged wall, launching Kaien into the air.

Before he stabilized—

Zeth appeared above him, midair.

"Lightning Magic: Sky Drive—JAVELIN FORM!"

A bolt of concentrated lightning screamed down toward Kaien.

Kaien's cloak flared.

He twisted, summoning light into his palm—

"Light Magic: Refraction Shield!"

The javelin bent midair—rebounded downward—

ZAP!

Duron took the full hit.

Kaien adjusted midfall, blades crossed.

Feron rose to meet him, fury burning in his eyes.

Only Feron remained now.

His sword ignited—

A dragon-shaped flame burst to life.

His rage erupted.

Feron: "Inferno Sword Art: Blazing Path!"

He charged—every swing a wildfire, every step melting the earth.

Trees ignited in his wake.

Kaien moved like a shadow—twirling blades, cutting fire, countering everything with flawless timing.

They clashed—blades locked.

Then—

Kaien's eyes flashed.

"Final Art – Thunderlight Descent."

A spiraling bolt of lightning surged from his feet into the air—

Light magic mirrored him tenfold.

Ten glowing afterimages slashed in perfect sync.

Feron couldn't keep up.

Five slashes.

One stab.

A final downward cut—

CRACK!

His flaming sword shattered.

BOOM!

Feron crashed into the dirt—eyes wide, smoke rising from his body.

For a moment—silence.

Then—he stirred.

A second passed.

Feron pushed himself up, trembling—but still standing.

Kaien stood across the battlefield, watching.

Expression calm.

Blades lowered—but ready.

His voice, low but firm:

Kaien:

"You're strong... but this fight is already over."
