Chapter 123 - CHAPTER 123: THE TWO TREE'S IF THUNDER

Kaien defeats all five BladeHex elites in a fiery battle, proving his unmatched mastery of light and lightning.

He honors his promise by delivering the Light Blade to Ari, marking her initiation into BladeHex.

Later, a shocking truth is revealed: Imperial trained under Kaien longer than Ari and wields Raiktsu, the original Blade of Lightning.

The group learns of Kurotsuki—the forbidden seventh blade tied to the world's fate, capable of either destroying or saving everything.

THE CURSE OF THE BLACK MOON – Kurotsuki.

"Beyond the Six, there lies one more—

A blade untouched by light.

The Six stand for Power... but the Seventh...

It stands for Ruin.

The Blood Moon Blade.

If anyone finds it,

The skies will never know peace again.

For no light will stand against it.

It does not feed on magic…

Nor blood…

It feeds on the soul itself."

Ari whispered, "That means… that blade is the strongest, right?"

Alex gave a solemn nod.

"It is."

He continued, "Every blade holds a unique ability.

Hikari—the Eternal Blade—can cut through anything that exists.

Raiktsu—the Blade of Lightning—stores endless amounts of magic within, never overflowing."

He paused.

"But Kurotsuki? I don't know its true ability…

But legends say—those struck by it don't scream. They beg to die.

That alone tells you how terrifying its power must be."

[Sense of Alden Mansion]

Lyra stood silently on the balcony, her hands resting gently on the railing as her eyes lingered on the garden below. The breeze was soft, brushing her hair aside, but her heart was heavy.

Out in the garden, she saw the two tall trees that had once been mere saplings—planted long ago by small hands full of hope and innocence. She could still remember their laughter—Kai's steady hands and Imperial's stubborn focus as they patted the soil over the roots. She had taught them how to plant that day, how to nurture life. And now… those trees stood strong, side by side, like the sons who had once stood beneath them.

Footsteps approached quietly from behind. Cyrus joined her, standing at her side, but it was a moment before he spoke.

Cyrus: "Maybe it's me… I'm responsible for all this. I failed to be a good father. And because of my mistakes… you're suffering too, Lyra."

Lyra didn't turn, but her eyes glistened. A single tear rolled down her cheek as memories swirled in her chest like a storm.

Lyra: "No, Cyrus. It's not your fault. I know you left us when our sons needed you the most… but I also know you chose that path with hope. You believed it was for their future. For their safety."

Cyrus: "I… I don't even remember what I found back then. Or what was in that book. All I know is—I lost them. I lost my sons. And that means I failed."

Lyra: (softly, but firmly) "You didn't. No one else would have done what you did. You found a broken child—left behind in the chaos of a battlefield—and took him in without hesitation. You protected him like your own… even when there was no blood tie. You gave him a home. You gave me a home."

She looked at him now, finally meeting his eyes.

Lyra: "Kai is blessed to have you. He knows that—even if he doesn't always say it. As for Imperial… he never spoke of you. Not once in fifteen years. Except that one day… when he chose to find you. And that book."

Cyrus looked down, clenching his jaw, haunted by memories that remained incomplete in his mind.

Cyrus: "That book… I don't know what I uncovered on that day. But I have a feeling… whatever Imperial is looking for—it's connected. It's the same path. The same burden I once carried. And if I walked that path to protect our family… then maybe he's doing the same now."

A long silence passed between them, filled only by the distant chirping of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves.

Lyra: "I don't know what either of them is truly thinking right now. I don't know what darkness they're walking through. But I do know this—they aren't what others believe. They aren't the cold-hearted all talking about. I know my sons. I know their hearts better than anyone else."

Her voice trembled with a mix of pride and sorrow.

Lyra: "Even if the world hates them … I won't."

Scene Transition – A Shadowed Room

The air was tense.

"You're wrong," said a voice in the darkness.

It was Celestia.

"The blade isn't where you think it is."

Magnus narrowed his eyes. "But how? It belongs to the one who came from the Sruken—and the Hale family descended from there. So shouldn't it be with them?"

He suddenly laughed, the sound bitter and broken.

"I guess… we've lost again. This time."

Malrik, confused, snapped, "Why are you laughing?"

Magnus looked up, a dangerous smile on his lips.

"Because I thought I was controlling this entire game.

Yet some child has appeared out of nowhere.

He doesn't even challenge me directly…

But every one of his moves is more precise than mine.

Let's see how far he goes…

Though I fear… he has only a few moves left before his checkmate."

Scene Shift – A Forest Path

Under a cloudy sky, Imperial walked silently, wearing his signature mask.

Flanking him were his two loyal teammates: Elara and Reyn.

As they moved through the forest trail, a royal army cart crossed in front of them—then abruptly stopped.

From it stepped a man in his late fifties, maybe sixties—his face lined with age and experience, his body bearing the scars of countless battles. He leaned on a thick cane, yet stood with presence. on his back side of the royal army coat "Primarch" is written .

Behind him stood four elite captains, all two-star ranked.

The man spoke firmly, "Sir… could you stop for a moment?"

Imperial turned slowly, eyes hidden behind his mask.

His teammates tensed.

They recognized him—and though they hid it well, a ripple of nervousness passed through them.

The man continued,

"There's a high-alert target—a Red Dot criminal—on the move within this empire.

He's said to be traveling with two companions.

You match the description.

So, for the safety of all, I must request you remove your mask.

And forgive my lack of manners.

I am General Rhogar of the Solaria Empire."
