Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 – Still Not Leaving?

Once they got in the car, Su Wanwan and Fu Liangmu sat silently in the backseat, neither uttering a word. Su Wanwan quietly pulled out her phone, only to see that the headline of the day was about the eldest young master of the Fu family getting married.

Fu Liangmu, noticing her attentiveness, suddenly pulled out a sleek black card he had long prepared and handed it to her.

"What's this for?" Su Wanwan asked, puzzled.

"For you to spend."

Su Wanwan shook her head. "No need. I have money."

"It's a husband's duty to ensure his wife never lacks spending money."

Without giving her a chance to refuse, Fu Liangmu placed the card directly into her hand.

"Go shop for yourself. I'll wait here."

Left with no choice, Su Wanwan slipped the black card into her bag. "Fine."

Soon, the car stopped in front of the most bustling commercial district in the west of the city. Su Wanwan turned back to wave at him, then gracefully walked into the department store.

The driver, a bit concerned, asked, "Young Master, is it really alright for Madam to go alone?"

"It's fine."

Fu Liangmu leaned back, eyes drifting lazily over the stream of people coming and going—until two familiar figures entered his line of sight.

...

Su Wanwan hadn't planned to linger long at the mall. She wanted to return early so Fu Liangmu wouldn't wait too long.

She entered a store casually, picked out a dress that caught her eye, asked for her size, and paid for it.

"Miss Su, we'll deliver this to vehicle West F.LM888 later, correct?"

"That's right."

Despite browsing the shops, Su Wanwan never once used the black card Fu Liangmu gave her.

Ding-dong—

A message popped up on her phone:[Postal Savings Bank]Your account ending in 678 has had a quick payment of 1,500.00 yuan, current balance: 30,015,000.85 yuan.

Feeling she'd spent enough, she was ready to leave. But as she passed a jewelry boutique, she couldn't resist stepping in.

Her eyes quickly fell on an exquisitely crafted bracelet.

She pointed through the glass counter. "Please, could you show me that one?"

"Certainly, Miss."

Just as the clerk retrieved it and was about to hand it to her, a hand reached in and intercepted it.

"This bracelet is so beautiful! Brother Nan, I really adore it. Will you buy it for me?"

Su Wanwan's body stiffened slightly. She turned to see Su Nian leaning sweetly on Ye Nan's arm.

Su Nian hadn't expected to bump into Su Wanwan here. From a distance, she thought her eyes had deceived her—only to find, up close, that it truly was her.

What surprised her even more was that Su Wanwan had actually walked out of the Fu residence alive.

The clerk, recognizing Su Nian, smiled broadly and began introducing the bracelet enthusiastically. "Miss Su, this is our latest arrival."

"Is it by Sunshine?" Su Nian asked.

"No, this one is by an emerging designer. Not nearly as famous as Sunshine, of course."

"Oh," Su Nian responded, her tone long and drawn out. She glanced at the price tag and let out a light laugh. "As expected, quite cheap, isn't it, Brother Nan?"

Ye Nan gave a distracted grunt, his gaze lingering on Su Wanwan.

She looked very different today. In their two years together, he had never seen her in a dress. And now, she was breathtaking—curvaceous, poised, radiant.

This… this was no tomboy.

"Brother Nan, why are you ignoring me?"

Su Nian clung to his arm, pouting. Her eyes, filled with jealousy, drifted over Su Wanwan with disdain.

So what if she wasn't flat-chested? With a temperament like hers, how many men could truly stand her?

"If you like it, just buy it," Ye Nan said, pulling out his bank card.

Su Nian pouted prettily, sensing Ye Nan's soul had already been stolen by Su Wanwan.

Feigning concern, she asked sweetly, "Brother Nan, that's not what I meant. I just noticed big sister liked it, and I thought she might not have the money. I wanted to gift it to her as a wedding present. She'll definitely love it!"

The word "wedding" hit Ye Nan like a bucket of ice water.

His girlfriend of two years had secretly married another man—and now he was the fool.

"Sister, how was your night?" Su Nian stepped forward, taking Su Wanwan's hand with exaggerated concern. Her voice grew louder.

"They say that eldest young master of the Fus is terrifying! Did he hurt you? Are you injured anywhere?"

Her gaze roved over Su Wanwan's flawless skin, growing increasingly agitated.

Why wasn't there a single bruise or mark? It would've pleased her to see her battered!

Su Wanwan tried to pull her hand back, but Su Nian clutched it tightly.

"That's none of your concern."

"I'm just relieved to see you unharmed," Su Nian sighed with faux sweetness. "Then again, you've been through this kind of thing before—it's nothing new to you."

There were other well-dressed patrons in the boutique, some from influential families. Hearing Su Nian's words, their gazes toward Su Wanwan began to shift.

"Who would've thought the Fu family heir would marry someone like that?"

"Honestly, they're a perfect match. Birds of a feather."

"She's so pretty—how could there not be other men around her? Not surprising at all."

As the murmurs reached her ears, Su Wanwan's expression darkened bit by bit.

She yanked her hand away.

Su Nian let out a sudden cry and collapsed to the ground.

Ye Nan rushed to her side. "Nian Nian! Are you alright?"

"I'm fine…" Su Nian bit her lip in grievance, casting a fearful glance at Su Wanwan. "I'm sorry, Sister… I misspoke… I know you've never liked me. No matter how hard I try, it's never enough for you…"

Ye Nan exploded. "Su Wanwan, can't you be reasonable for once? Nian Nian always thinks of you, even when you push her away. She still wanted to buy something to make you happy. And this is how you repay her?"

Su Nian tugged gently at his sleeve. "Forget it, Brother Nan. Let's just buy the bracelet for Sister and leave… We shouldn't upset her anymore…"

"Nian Nian, don't always—"

Ye Nan didn't finish his sentence.

A low, hoarse voice, laced with menace, cut through the air from behind them.

"If you know she's upset, then why haven't you left yet?"
