The day before the Cosmic Competition, Nash returned to the conference hall.
"How many do you think you've convinced to join us?" Zeke asked as Nash approached.
"A few million, I'd estimate," Nash replied.
"Oh? That low? You don't think you can hit 10 million, or even all 25 million?"
"It's impossible. Given the dangers of the Ashura Path, a few million members joining us is already a lot," Nash said with a sigh.
Though the crowd's expressions yesterday suggested many were tempted by the rewards, it was likely just reckless greed.
Once the reality of the danger sank in, fear would take hold, stopping most of them from moving forward.
Although the rewards were truly generous, few could really sacrifice themselves for others, even for their loved ones.
While the regular Cosmic Competition wasn't foolproof, it offered a strong chance of survival.
Without having any confidence in the Nova Sector, most saw the Ashura Path as a certain death sentence.
