Olivia - Explain
Aria - As the Goddess can clearly see, I'm just a normal person. I deliberately refused what the Goddess wanted to give me. So tell me—what suddenly changed? Why would I go to a mere Wing's room and steal it?
Aria - If I wanted a necklace like that, I could have hundreds of them. All I would need to do is ask the Goddess. Why would I lower myself to such pettiness?
Even though Olivia despised Aria, she could never bear to see her look like a beggar. Every month, without fail, she sent her money, jewelry, and new dresses—symbols of wealth and status.
But Aria rejected them all mercilessly.
To her, what use were materialistic things when her own mother couldn't give her the love she desperately needed? Each gift was nothing more than a cruel reminder of what she lacked—a hollow gesture that only bruised her pride further.
She would only accept the bare minimum, taking some clothes when it became absolutely necessary. Beyond that, she wanted nothing from her mother. Nothing at all.
Olivia - *Thinking about the words Aria's said*
Kristha - Maybe u wanted revenge on me since Goddess loves me more than u *spat on her face*
Aria - There is no need for me to beg for the Goddess's love. I am Aria Hill, and as long as I am breathing, I will never beg for anything
Aria - ( I received pure and gentle love from my husband who needs trash when my husband can give me the gold )
Olivia - So your telling that u dint steal
Aria - No I'm. Telling I don't need to steal
Olivia - then what is that necklace doing in ur room??
Aria - All these years, I believed the Goddess to be wise and intelligent, but now I'm beginning to think otherwise. It doesn't take a genius to see that I was framed. I have no maid who favors me, thanks to the Goddess's so-called grace.
Hearing this, Olivia grits her teeth in anger but soon composed herself and looks at Aria with hateful gaze.
Aria - Isn't it obvious? Someone put me in this situation. And since the Goddess holds so much power, why don't you figure out who did it and why? I have far more important things to do than waste my time dealing with this nonsense
Regef - How dare u talk to Goddess in this manner *about to slap Aria*
Aria - And how dare you raise your voice at the son of the Goddess? Did you forget your place? *glares furiously at Regef* Even though the Goddess and I have our differences, it doesn't change the fact that I am her daughter. You would do well to remember that and stay in your place.
Aria - *looks at Olivia with provoking gaze and smirks mockingly* It seems the Goddess is starting to lose her dominance over her wings
With that, Aria turned on her heel and left the room, leaving the three people behind in stunned silence, their words caught in their throats.
Not only had Aria escaped the brutal beating they had planned, but she had also planted a dangerous seed—that the Goddess was losing her dominance over her wings.
Kristha watched her leave, utterly speechless. This wasn't the Aria she knew. The Aria she remembered would never acknowledge herself as the daughter of the Goddess. After all, the so-called Goddess had never treated her like a human, let alone her own child.
But now... something had changed.
What could have possibly made Aria accept that title so easily?
