She clicked on his profile. His feed was filled with vibrant colours, breathtaking landscapes (mostly taken during hikes, judging by the captions), and genuine smiles. He seemed… authentically happy. The kind of happy that was contagious.

Hesitantly, she followed him back.

A direct message blinked onto her screen. "Gritted teeth and AC struggles? Sounds like a tragedy. Want a change of scenery? I know a rooftop bar with spectacular views and even more spectacular frozen margaritas."

Her breath caught in her throat. This was it. The modern dance of digital courtship. Was she brave enough? She'd been burned before, swiped left on enough empty promises to build a small bonfire.

But something about Liam felt different. Genuine. And the thought of escaping her sweaty apartment for a frozen margarita was undeniably appealing.
