Scene 1: The Calm Before the Storm

It's the final year. Just another ordinary school morning. Rain taps against the windows. Outside, students laugh, shove each other, joke around.

But I sit by the window—watching.

I've changed, and people feel... different. I catch faint whispers, not from mouths, but minds nearby. My desk feels colder than it should. The shadows clinging to my chair feel strangely alive.

Across the room, I notice someone—my classmate. But something's wrong.

His expressions are too clear, too sharp. His eyes twitch unnaturally. That smile on his face—it's not real. I can feel the intent behind it, like static pressing against my skin.

Then I see it.

A shadow behind him… one that doesn't match the light.

Something's watching me back.
