Since the day it tore Dagon apart, MUTO Prime had slumbered in the molten chambers beneath Kyushu Island, unseen and undetected by Monarch or anyone else.
For centuries, it had dreamed in silence, its heart beating slow as stone.
But now, its rest had ended.
Through the electromagnetic senses of its kind, the creature had felt a disturbance; two of its parasitic spawn, the offspring that had fed on Dagon's carcass, were gone.
Killed.
The MUTO Prime felt the loss like molten iron in its blood.
The brood must survive at all costs… and those who killed them would drown in vengeance.
Its fury boiled over.
"BOOM… BOOM… BOOM, !!"
Raising its titanic forelimbs, the beast slammed them down into the earth with seismic force.
Shockwaves burst outward, ripping Guam apart.
The entire naval base convulsed and sank, airstrips collapsing, hangars folding like paper, soldiers swallowed by the crumbling ground before alarms could even sound.
Submarines hidden deep in the harbor tried to flee, but the MUTO Prime's hunger burned hotter than rage.
It lunged, crushing steel like tin, dragging Los Angeles-class and Virginia-class nuclear subs up in its claws.
With a grotesque snap of jaws, it tore them open and devoured the glowing cores.
Nuclear energy surged through its body like fire, its exoskeleton plates glowing with a hellish light.
"SKREEEEEEEEHHHHH!!"
The roar was a seismic scream of triumph.
But then… another roar answered.
Low. Thunderous. Ancient.
From the waves beyond Guam, the sea began to boil.
Blue light crackled beneath the waters as something massive approached.
Then, with an earth-splitting bellow, the ocean erupted, and Godzilla rose from the depths, dorsal plates blazing with nuclear fire.
For a month, he had rested in the abyss near Bermuda, bones mending, flesh knitting, his body mutating from the aftermath of his battle with Miraluz.
He had grown stronger, tougher, hungrier for dominance.
And now, the scent of the old enemy, the parasite that had slain Dagon, called him back to war.
The ancient rivalry reignited.
"RRRROOOOAAARRR!!"
Godzilla charged forward, the sea foaming at his legs as he thundered across the shattered coastline.
The MUTO Prime turned, its red eyes narrowing.
It answered with its own scream, slamming its claws together, the shockwaves cracking the ground beneath its feet.
Then it charged to meet him.
When they collided, the world shook.
The impact was like two mountains striking, sending a gale-force shockwave across Guam.
Buildings vaporized in the pressure, ships tossed from the harbor, the island itself groaning under the force.
Godzilla staggered first, shoved back by the sheer bulk of his larger foe.
The MUTO pressed the advantage, its spiked limbs swinging with crushing force.
"WHAM!!"
A claw strike cracked against Godzilla's ribs, hurling him sideways into a row of crumbling bunkers.
The ground split open, swallowing entire city blocks into fire.
The MUTO Prime roared and raised its claws again, then unleashed its signature attack.
Earthquake Fist.
Seismic energy built in its forelimbs, rippling the very air.
With a devastating swing, it sent a directed shockwave into Godzilla's chest.
"BOOOOOOOM!!"
The ground convulsed as if the Richter scale itself had shattered.
Godzilla was driven into the earth, the force shaking even the Mariana Trench.
For a heartbeat, it looked as though the King of the Monsters had fallen.
But the MUTO had underestimated him.
Slowly, Godzilla's claws dug into the shattered rock.
His muscles strained, dorsal fins flaring brighter.
He rose again, scarred but unbroken.
His glare burned with wrath.
The MUTO tilted its head, surprised.
It was expected that bones would snap and organs would rupture.
But Godzilla had adapted.
His body, tempered by his brutal duel with Miraluz, had grown harder, tougher.
The punch that would have shattered him weeks ago was no longer enough.
"RRRRRAAAGGGHHH!!"
With an explosive burst of strength, Godzilla lunged forward.
His tail whipped around like a wrecking ball, slamming into the MUTO's chest with enough force to launch it backward into the bay.
The water surged into tsunamis as the beast crashed, sending waves rolling over the ruined base.
But the MUTO Prime recovered quickly.
It rose from the surf, screeching in fury, mandibles clacking.
Blue sparks danced along its claws, the absorbed nuclear energy from the submarines now weaponized.
Godzilla responded in kind.
His spines ignited, glowing brighter and brighter until the sky was painted in a neon-blue storm.
Energy built in his throat, a thunderous charge shaking the air.
The battle was about to escalate.

POV – Monarch Osprey, airborne over Guam
"Jesus Christ…" Emma Russell whispered, gripping the window as the two Titans clashed below.
"It's him. It's the MUTO Prime…"
Her pilot swore under his breath, banking the craft away as shockwaves buffeted the plane.
"Doctor, we have to pull back, we won't survive in this airspace!"
"No!" Emma shouted. Her eyes never left the battlefield.
"This… this is history. We're witnessing the war Dagon never won."
-----------
POV – Alan Jonah
The walls around him cracked, dust falling from the ceiling. But Jonah only smiled, eyes wide with reverence.
"Yes… Yes… the earth's judgment walks again."
He pressed a hand to the bars, trembling.
"Show them… show them all…"
Back on the battlefield, Godzilla braced himself as the MUTO screamed and lunged again.
This time, there would be no half-measures.
This was no ordinary duel.
This was the war of parasites and kings, reborn.
