Chapter 250: The Multi-Layered Meaning of Blowing Dog Heads Off
Looking at the werewolves gradually appearing before him and the wolf pack they had summoned, Sean quickly took out two elbow-length gauntlets from his Undetectable Extension Bag, pulled them on both arms, made a slight fist, and nodded with satisfaction.
These were products from the dragon farm owned by the Malfoy family that Sean had acquired, made from soft leather covered with a layer of fine dragon scales. They could make Sean's hands immune to most damage. As long as the dragon hide couldn't be penetrated, the dragon scale gauntlets on Sean's arms couldn't be breached either.
This item had been sent to Sean by the dragon farm during Christmas as a gesture of goodwill toward their new owner. He hadn't expected its first use would be here.
"Sirius, go find Harry! He's facing Peter Pettigrew alone and might not be safe."
The black dog that Sirius had transformed into showed worry. He was certainly concerned about Harry, but he was also worried about Lupin, who had become a werewolf. For a moment, he was caught in indecision.
Seeing Sirius's state, Sean immediately waved his wand. More vines wrapped around Lupin while the ground suddenly caved in, placing the vine-bound Lupin within.
"This pit is sufficient to contain Professor Lupin. When the moon sets, we'll let him out. You can rest assured."
Seeing Lupin already sunk into the ground, Sirius nodded at Sean, turned around, and followed Harry's scent in the direction Harry had pursued Peter Pettigrew.
With Sirius's departure, Sean turned to look at the pack of wild wolves that could be considered right in front of him. These wild wolves had all been summoned by those werewolves. Obviously, among those werewolves, someone had mastered the ability to command wild wolves. They were like alpha wolves of the pack, earning these wild wolves' unconditional loyalty.
"Awoo..."
A wolf howl suddenly rang out from behind.
With this howl, those wild wolves immediately made whimpering sounds and pounced toward Sean. However, Sean could see clearly that these wild wolves were targeting his limbs and torso, not aiming for his vital points. Obviously, the werewolves behind these wild wolves wanted to capture him, not kill him!
Don't want to kill me?
Could it be because of my thesis?
Do these werewolves want to capture me alive?
With this thought, Sean's wand was already being waved.
"Sectumsempra!"
Casting his Head of House's self-created magic, Sean's wand was like a divine sword. With each swing, a wild wolf's head was separated from its body, falling to the ground with wails.
Against these ordinary wild wolves, Sectumsempra was like mowing grass.
Perhaps knowing that wild wolves couldn't cause much damage to Sean, more wolf howls rang out. Finally, werewolves mixed with wild wolves charged out from behind, pouncing toward Sean.
However, these werewolves looked quite mad, showing no signs of having taken Wolfsbane Potion.
But thinking about it, even with his modified formula, Wolfsbane Potion was still not cheap. These bottom-tier werewolves naturally couldn't all take Wolfsbane Potion. Among these werewolves, probably only a few were qualified to take it.
His wand pointed out, and Sectumsempra flew forth again.
However, those werewolves seemed able to capture the fluctuations and trajectory of incoming magic, immediately dodging. Even when they couldn't dodge in time and got hit, only their skin and flesh were cut open. The bones and internal organs inside weren't damaged. It hurt and wounded them but didn't hinder these werewolves from fighting.
What a pity.
Sectumsempra's level was too low. If the Professor were here, that strike of Sectumsempra would have cut even werewolves in half.
One werewolf, bearing two deep bone-visible wounds on its body, opened its foul-smelling mouth to bite down at Sean. At this instant, a cold wind spread from beneath Sean's feet, instantly freezing the surrounding area, naturally including this werewolf.
The Frost Domain controlled the wild wolves and werewolves in this area. Sean held his wand in one hand while reaching into his Undetectable Extension Bag with the other, pulling out the fully repaired chain mace. Swinging it single-handedly, he created afterimages as he smashed it directly into the werewolf's head!
Splat!
Like a blood and flesh firework, the werewolf's head completely exploded, red and white matter bursting outward and quickly freezing under the influence of Frost Domain before scattering on the ground.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh...
Sean spun the chain mace, making it rotate rapidly and creating afterimages.
The next second, Sean suddenly charged forward. His wand and chain mace coordinated perfectly. The chain mace is the main offence, with magic providing assistance and defence. For a moment, there were only the wails of wild wolves and werewolves and the dull sounds of flesh and bones being shattered by the chain mace's impacts.
Just as Sean was killing with great satisfaction, another short wolf howl rang out from behind.
The remaining few wild wolves and werewolves surrounding Sean quickly retreated and distanced themselves. Then thirteen obviously intelligent werewolves slowly emerged from behind and came before Sean.
Fenrir stood in the centre of the other twelve werewolves. Looking at the corpses around Sean that were no longer recognisable, a hint of anger flashed in his eyes. He really hadn't expected that a third-year student would cause him such enormous losses.
These wild wolves were originally raised by their pack. Brave and skilled fighters, each one very precious. Not to mention those pack members who hadn't taken Wolfsbane Potion. If he hadn't ordered the retreat just now, those wild wolves and pack members who hadn't taken Wolfsbane Potion might have all been killed by this guy.
Fenrir was sizing up Sean, and Sean wasn't idle either.
Immediately opening his panel, Sean began receiving the abilities gained from killing those wild wolves and werewolves.
Setting aside those wild wolves, which only gave skills like biting, pouncing, and obeying commands that were useless to Sean, the six werewolves Sean had killed really gave him some decent abilities!

Six werewolves. Two gave the Wolf's Keenness talent, bringing it to LV2 level, and four gave the Wolf's Swiftness talent, also reaching LV2 level.
The former enhanced Sean's senses and reaction speed, while the latter enhanced his jumping, running, and dodging speed and agility. Combined with Troll Strength...
Now Sean was completely confident he could blow these werewolves' heads off!
