Chapter 266 - Chapter 269: The Exam

Chapter 269: The Exam

Passing through the gate, they walked toward the golden square castle embraced by countless plants ahead.

As they walked, the middle-aged Black female professor introduced the structure of Castelobruxo to Sean and the others while also introducing herself.

Remy Lehmann.

Sean affectionately called her Sister Ray.

Following Sister Ray forward, along the way Sean repeatedly saw small, furry humanoid creatures that resembled dwarves or elves. Just as he was about to ask Sister Ray about these creatures, she had already begun explaining to him: "They're called Caipora. They are the guardians of Castelobruxo, protecting the school and students' safety. However, they're also very mischievous, cunning and fond of pranks. They've caused plenty of trouble for the school's professors and students."

Oh...

Sean understood.

A bunch of Peeves, alright!

Castelobruxo students were still in their pre-finals preparation period, so most people were hurrying about. Only a small portion, either those with sufficient confidence in their exams or those who had half-given up, appeared much more relaxed. Seeing Sean's group of three, they cast appraising and curious glances.

Most Castelobruxo students were South American children, though there were some exceptions, like Wang from the Potions Club. So most Castelobruxo children had darker brown skin tones, though there were also white-skinned children, but not in great numbers.

Unlike Hogwarts, Castelobruxo had no house divisions. They were all just Castelobruxo students. However, they did have student council-like organisations to assist professors in managing students.

Sean's dormitory was a single room. At Castelobruxo, single dormitories were only provided to student council members, but Gavin's donation was really quite substantial. So much that if Castelobruxo didn't give Sean some privileges, they would feel guilty about it.

The room was a suite with three bedrooms and one living room, just right for the three of them to have one room each.

"Here's your access pass. With this pass, you can freely go to classrooms or various school facilities, and you can enjoy the same treatment as students in the school.

Also, are you interested in participating in Castelobruxo's final exams?"

"Professor Lehmann, you know I just finished final exams at Hogwarts, so..."

"Of course, I know Hogwarts just finished final exams; otherwise, you wouldn't have been able to come to our Castelobruxo. I also know you achieved first place in this academic year's exams, so I'm very curious what rank Hogwarts best student would achieve if taking our Castelobruxo exams."

Different schools had different teaching paces and focuses, so having Sean rashly participate in exams wasn't really fair. But as the school's first place, his level was still there; otherwise, Sister Ray wouldn't have made such a rash invitation.

"I'd better not. I haven't studied at Castelobruxo and might not be able to keep up with the pace."

"The top ten in Castelobruxo exams all receive rewards. This year even the worst tenth place gets three drops of Felix Felicis as a reward. Won't you reconsider?"

"Professor Lehmann, when are the exams, and what's the exam schedule?"

"I'll have someone bring it to you shortly. So shall I register you for it now?"

"Of course, thank you Professor Lehmann."

"Alright then, I won't disturb you further. Rest well first."

"Goodbye, Professor Lehmann."

Watching Sister Ray leave, Aldrich immediately asked Sean: "Young master, are you interested in those rewards?"

"Being skilled in Herbology means having considerable attainments in Potions as well. Even tenth place can get three drops of Felix Felicis as a reward. What generosity.

I wonder if the top three, or first place, might have some special rewards."

That's right. If he was going to take the exam, he naturally had to aim for first place.

Sean had just finished organising his luggage when a Castelobruxo student council member delivered an exam schedule.

Looking at the time, there were still three days until the first exam. Sean calculated and decided to spend these three days first looking at Castelobruxo's third-year textbooks to get a general understanding of their teaching content. This way, knowing both himself and his enemy, he might achieve better results.

Getting first place would be difficult, but not completely impossible.

Of course, Sean's goal was to secure third and strive for first. As long as he could achieve top three, it would be worth these three days of effort.

At noon, the three of them ate some portable food they had brought in the dormitory, then all took naps to rest well, since the car ride here had been quite exhausting.

In the evening, the three went to Castelobruxo's cafeteria.

The environment here wasn't much different from a regular university cafeteria. You went to the window counters to get whatever you wanted to eat, and new portions were replenished as soon as one was taken.

The arrival of Sean's group immediately attracted attention from others in the cafeteria.

Some well-informed people already knew Sean was from Hogwarts.

"Look at that person. I heard he's from Hogwarts?"

"Hogwarts? The one in Britain?"

"That's right, the British one. I heard he's first place in his year at Hogwarts, and he's even planning to take our exams. I just don't know what year he is."

Just as the three finished their discussion, a tall, handsome young man sat beside them with some food: "He's a third year, which means he'll be taking exams with us. I just don't know what rank this Hogwarts first place can achieve here."

"Our textbooks and courses are quite different from Hogwarts. Although he's Hogwarts' first, I don't think he can score very high. As long as he can get close to the front tier, I think that would be considered success."

Sean didn't mind the Castelobruxo students' speculation and discussion. He had gotten used to it two years ago at Beauxbatons.

Meanwhile, as Sean was eating, far away in France at Beauxbatons, Fleur, who had just finished her final exams, said goodbye to her friends, took her luggage, and went directly to the French Ministry of Magic. This morning she had received a letter from Sean and learnt by chance that he was going to Castelobruxo in Brazil.

After about half an hour, Fleur made her decision. She was going to Castelobruxo for exchange studies!
