Chapter 284 - Chapter 284: Time Synchronized Between Worlds! Krillin vs. Whitebeard!

Originally, the time flow between the Dragon Ball and One Piece worlds was different, and the difference was significant.

However, once the Trans-Dimensional Communication Group started a live stream, the time in both worlds would synchronize.

So, just as Piccolo defeated Uchiha Izuna, Lin Xuan had also just repelled Admiral Aokiji and the others and was currently enjoying Empress Boa Hancock's enthusiastic hospitality in the palace of Amazon Lily.

At this moment, he was eating and drinking while watching the martial arts tournament live stream.

He wasn't surprised to see Uchiha Izuna lose.

After all, while Uchiha Izuna was talented, his strength was ultimately only at the Kage level, which indeed had its limits.

Then, he saw Uchiha Madara's gloomy expression and couldn't help but click his tongue in amusement. "Madara, that notorious brother-con, is pissed off now. Looks like the next round will be a good show!"

The matches continued.

Third match: Son Goku vs. Chi-Chi!

This fight was pretty much the same as in the original storyline.

Because Goku forgot who she was at first, Chi-Chi launched a fierce attack on him.

However, later, because Goku finally remembered Chi-Chi and their childhood promise, Chi-Chi was instantly overjoyed and happily conceded defeat.

And so, a rather comical match came to an end.

Result of the third match: Son Goku wins!

Indeed, compared to the previous match, their fight seemed almost like a farce. The audience, expecting another exciting duel, was left somewhat speechless.

Lin Xuan, however, watched with great interest, reliving a classic scene from the manga he'd read long ago.

It also reminded him of many online discussions about how the marriage between Goku and Chi-Chi wasn't ideal for either of them.

For Goku, after marrying Chi-Chi, he couldn't train for as long as he wanted without someone nagging him. Otherwise, his achievements might have been even greater.

For Chi-Chi, married to Goku – who often trained obsessively without regard for family and occasionally had to save the world – she had to single-handedly manage the household finances and raise the children, which was very tough.

Thus, some argued it wasn't a good match.

But in Lin Xuan's view, the core issue for them was ultimately about money.

If Goku could find a way to both train/fight and earn a lot of money, all problems would likely be solved.

For instance, Lin Xuan planned to turn this battle junkie into his professional enforcer, using him to earn massive amounts of prestige points.

Goku's potential was undoubtedly immense!

If Lin Xuan could use ordinary currency to obtain vast sums of prestige points in exchange for Goku's services, it would be an extremely profitable deal!

Furthermore, if Goku didn't marry Chi-Chi, wouldn't that mean there would be no Gohan or Goten? That was something Lin Xuan was absolutely unwilling to see!

As Lin Xuan pondered this, the announcer at the Dragon Ball world's World Martial Arts Tournament declared the fourth match.

Fourth match: Krillin vs. Whitebeard!

Krillin had been eagerly waiting to step onto the stage.

But just then, he heard Son Goku say, "This old man is really strong!"

Krillin's face stiffened. He turned to Goku and asked, "R-really?"

"Yeah, he's strong. I'm not sure I could beat him either!" Goku nodded seriously.

Hearing this, Krillin's expression changed dramatically, and the pressure he felt intensified.

He instinctively glanced at the tall,霸气 (imposing) man with the white mustache, gulped, and felt a cold sweat break out on his forehead.

He sensed an intense pressure emanating from this Whitebeard, making him shudder involuntarily.

Whitebeard also glanced at Krillin. Seeing his opponent was a short, bald guy, he grinned widely. "Gurarara!"

Master Roshi's face, however, changed slightly. Having been to the One Piece world, he had some understanding of it.

He remembered this white-bearded man was called Whitebeard, one of the so-called "Four Emperors" in that world, and was known as the Strongest Man in the World!

He had even watched the Marineford War live stream and seen how even the powerful Marine Admirals were utterly dominated by this man known as the world's strongest.

Most crucially, Whitebeard was brought by that guy!

Although Master Roshi knew Whitebeard was incredibly strong, he was still curious to see how Krillin, his Turtle School disciple, would fare against a powerhouse from another world.

Even though he didn't hold out much hope, he couldn't help but cling to a sliver of expectation.

After all, he himself had experience in other worlds. How could his disciple be too weak? Wouldn't that be an embarrassment to him?

While Master Roshi was lost in thought, the two competitors stepped onto the ring, standing opposite each other, sizing each other up.

Krillin looked up at the towering Whitebeard, gulped again. The oppressive feeling was immense, as if he was facing a mountain.

However, even though Whitebeard made Krillin feel immense pressure, he didn't consider backing down.

In fact, as Krillin assessed Whitebeard, Whitebeard was also studying the boy before him.

This was his first time in another world, and he was still filled with curiosity about this unfamiliar place. The strong fighters of this world greatly interested him.

Despite a lifetime of experiencing storms and trials, coming to the Dragon Ball world gave even Whitebeard a sense of having his horizons broadened.

The more he felt this, the more astonished Whitebeard became regarding Lin Xuan, the one who brought him here.

Even after being in the Dragon Ball world for a while, he still marveled inwardly: As expected, I still underestimated the mysterious President Lin!

Just then, the blond, sunglasses-wearing announcer finally spoke, waving his arm to declare: "Begin the match!"

His figure quickly retreated, as he clearly sensed the power of these two individuals and feared he wouldn't be able to dodge if he stayed too close.

The moment the announcer's words fell, Krillin was the first to move.

He felt that no matter what, he had to seize the initiative in the match; otherwise, he would likely be defeated very quickly!
