The others looked closely and saw that it was true. Roger's limbs were also coated in black energy as he parried Roshi's attacks. In fact, Roger's manipulation of this strange energy was even more refined than Roshi's!
Because of his superior mastery of Armament Haki, combined with his proficiency in Observation Haki, Roger was able to fight evenly with Master Roshi, despite his raw attack power being somewhat inferior. It was impossible to determine a winner.

However, this time Roshi didn't engage in a brawl. He used his speed to move rapidly around the ring, dodging Roger while maintaining his charging stance.
Moments later, the aura around Master Roshi shifted. A powerful electrical surge erupted from his body, gathering rapidly in his palms.
"Lightning Flash Surprise!"
Rumble...
Golden electricity blasted from Roshi's palms, instantly striking the charging Roger. The stage erupted with the crackling sound of thunder!
