The Chapter get Retranslated

Jiang Chen took out the Mystic Plate from his System Space. As soon as he brought it out, Ralts and Beldum came closer.

"Raru?"

Ralts bit its small hand, its eyes, covered by its bowl cut, looking at Jiang Chen.

"This is something that can increase your potential and strength. It's good for you."

Jiang Chen possessed Aura Power, and although it was still weak, he could roughly understand what Ralts was asking him.

Ralts was asking what this Mystic Plate was.

Placing the Mystic Plate on the bed, Ralts lay next to it, and Beldum floated in mid-air, absorbing the power emanating from the Mystic Plate.

"System, open the task panel."

[Task: Own an Elite Four-level Pokémon. Reward: Ability Capsule: Huge Power, one Charizardite X, 100,000 points!]

[Task: Win first place in the Campus Ranking Battle. Reward: TM: Teleport, 8,000 points!]

[Task: Own six Pokémon. Reward: TM: Hydro Pump, 10,000 points!]

There were currently three tasks on the task panel. Completing them would refresh new tasks, and tasks could also be refreshed by spending points.

Jiang Chen knew what the TM rewards were; they were the in-game TMs that allowed instant learning of moves.

However, Jiang Chen was most interested in the Ability Capsule.

"System, can that Ability Capsule: Huge Power really transform a Pokémon's ability into Huge Power?"

Jiang Chen asked the system.

[That's right, it can indeed transform a Pokémon's ability into Huge Power. It's available in the shop, Host, you can check it!]

"This reward is amazing."

The Huge Power ability had the same effect as Pure Power, both doubling physical attack. This was the most desired ability for any physical attacker.

A good ability could change a Pokémon's combat power.

Conversely, a bad ability could turn a Pokémon into trash.

For example, Regigigas's Slow Start ability, which halved its attack and speed for five turns, was simply terrible.

Another example was Slaking, a non-Legendary, non-Pseudo-legendary Pokémon with the highest base stats. It had high physical attack, high speed, and even decent physical defense and special attack, with very high HP.

Based purely on base stats, it should have been able to overpower Pseudo-legendaries, just like Regigigas, Kyogre, and Groudon. Although the strength of Legendary Pokémon couldn't be judged solely by base stats—for instance, in the real world, the Legendary Birds' base stats were lower than Pseudo-legendaries, yet they were gods and could defeat any Pseudo-legendary.

However, with Slaking's base stats, it should have been able to easily defeat Pseudo-legendaries, but its Truant ability ruined everything. It would slack off in battle, truly living up to its name.

Because of this ability, despite its incredibly high base stats, it was less popular than Starter Pokémon.

"If I used the Huge Power ability to replace Slaking's Truant ability, wouldn't it instantly become a 'Workaholic King,' overpowering various Pseudo-legendaries?"

"I must get this Ability Capsule."

Jiang Chen checked, and the Ability Capsule that could transform an ability into Huge Power cost three million points in the system shop.

"Whether I can complete this task fastest depends on Dragonite."

Among his Pokémon, besides Dragonite, the rest were novices. Only Dragonite was one step away from becoming an Elite Four-level Pokémon.

Since this task had no time limit, Jiang Chen was certain he would receive this reward, so he wasn't in a hurry.

The other two tasks were easy to complete, and the TM rewards were good. There were similar items in the real world called move scrolls.

However, unlike TMs that allowed instant learning, move scrolls used special hypnotic techniques to implant move techniques into a Pokémon's mind.

After implantation, it wasn't immediately learned; it still required practice, but it was much easier than self-study.

Moreover, move scrolls could only be used once, while TMs obtained from the system could be used repeatedly.

"Tomorrow is a holiday. I'll go to the wild to try my luck and try to catch two Pokémon to complete the task."

Jiang Chen wouldn't just catch any Pokémon. He wouldn't consider anything with less than Elite Four potential, and at the very least, it had to have Quasi-Elite Four potential for him to even think about catching it.

After washing up, Jiang Chen lay on his bed to rest. Ralts nestled in Jiang Chen's arms, one hand resting on the Mystic Plate.

In the dark night, the Mystic Plate glowed with a faint pink light, and in their sleep, Ralts and Beldum's strength was increasing.

Not just them, even Jiang Chen was affected by the Mystic Plate.

By continuously holding the Mystic Plate, Jiang Chen might even gain Psychic abilities, and his Aura, described as the spirit of every living creature, was also constantly strengthening under the influence of the Mystic Plate.

The benefits brought by this Psychic-type Mystic Plate were considerable.

[Ding, congratulations to the Host! Your Ralts's strength has increased to Normal Tier 3, gaining two hundred points. Your Beldum's strength has increased to Normal Tier 4, gaining one hundred points!]

The moment Jiang Chen opened his eyes the next day, he heard the system's notification. Training Pokémon and having them increase in strength could also earn points.

Each tier increase at the Normal level earned one hundred points.

"Such good effects."

Jiang Chen was a little surprised; this Psychic Plate was too strong.

"Wait, my Aura Power seems to have increased too."

Using Aura Power to sense his surroundings was like standing in a god's-eye view, watching the entire room.

Everything in the room was visible to Jiang Chen.

Unfortunately, he still couldn't communicate telepathically with his Pokémon using Aura Power. If he could, he wouldn't even need to speak commands in battles.

"Raru."

Ralts looked at Jiang Chen with a bewildered expression.

"Ralts, I'm going to put you in a Poké Ball first so you can bond with it."

Hearing Jiang Chen's words, Ralts nodded.

Jiang Chen took out an empty Luxury Ball, touched Ralts with it, and immediately recalled Ralts into the ball.

"Come out, Ralts."

After the bonding was complete, Jiang Chen released Ralts again.

Once out, Ralts clung tightly to Jiang Chen's hand.

"Raru Raru~!"

"You don't want to stay in the Poké Ball?"

Jiang Chen understood Ralts's meaning.

Ralts immediately nodded.

Jiang Chen brushed back the hair covering Ralts's eyes and saw its pitiful expression. His heart softened.

"Okay, I promise you, unless it's a special situation, I won't put you back in your Poké Ball."

Jiang Chen picked up Ralts. Seeing that Jiang Chen hadn't put it back in the Poké Ball, Ralts's mood brightened considerably.
