Chapter 10 - The Great Battle with Quinn (Queen)

"Lord Quinn, come take a look at this!"

At that moment, a member of the Beasts Pirates hurriedly strode over and handed a newspaper to Quinn.

Quinn narrowed his eyes slightly and said, "The great swordsman Ryuma of Wano has been resurrected. The Land of Wano will be turned upside down!"

Quinn casually tossed the newspaper aside, his expression indifferent as if he didn't take the report seriously. "Tsk tsk… Which news agency published this? It can't be that bird again, right? I'll have to wipe them out someday!"

The crew member took a deep breath and said, "Lord Quinn, shouldn't we really pay attention to this…"

"Hm? Who knows if it's true or not. Even if it is, what are Jack and his gang to us? I only care about my Udon Prison. Anyone who tries to come here, I'll tear them limb from limb!"

Hearing Quinn's words, his subordinates exchanged glances and naturally felt reassured.

"Boom!"

Suddenly, a huge circular hole was torn open in the gate of Udon Prison!

Seeing this, Quinn sprang to his feet!

Outside stood a man at the prison gate, holding none other than the black blade Shūsui.

Although Quinn was not panicked, he knew this man's strength was not to be underestimated.

Quinn stared intently and slowly said, "You must be the one calling yourself Ryuma?"

Ryuma sheathed Shūsui and casually kicked the Beasts Pirates crew member lying on the ground. His voice was cold and calm. "I am Ryuma, the Dragon-Slaying Samurai. Your Beasts Pirates have been slaughtering innocents in Wano, turning this beautiful country into chaos. That is unforgivable!"

Quinn's anger flared instantly.

"Hmph. I say, you really don't know your place. Wano is nothing but a bunch of stinky samurai and ninjas. Such a backward country has long been abandoned by the whole world. We are helping you, so don't be ungrateful!"

"Then I thank you for your 'help'," Ryuma replied, sliding his sword's edge forward. A blade of sword energy surged swiftly toward Quinn!

Quinn roared and extended his mechanical left arm, bracing against the slash with brute strength.

His left arm was a mechanical prosthetic with immense power—somewhat like Kurozumi Zef's iron arm, but surpassing it.

Ryuma fixed his gaze on Quinn and quickly asked his system, "System, what kind of Devil Fruit did this Quinn eat?"

Ryuma wasn't very familiar with Quinn, so he naturally didn't know what power Quinn possessed. But as a top commander of the Beasts Pirates, Quinn must be a Zoan-type Devil Fruit user.

"Ding dong: Host, this person is Quinn. His Devil Fruit ability is the Ancient-type Dragon-Dragon Fruit: Apatosaurus form. He can transform into an Apatosaurus, possessing tremendous regenerative abilities and extremely high defense. This person is extremely dangerous. The gap between you is vast. Strongly recommend the host to avoid rash actions!"

Hearing this, Ryuma gained a rough understanding of Quinn's power.

He suddenly remembered that in the anime, Quinn was severely struck by Big Mom (Charlotte Linlin) but still got up as if nothing had happened. Though confident, Ryuma wasn't arrogant—he had only recently restored his body and did not believe his strike carried the same weight as Charlotte Linlin's. He could only guarantee his survival and self-defense.

"Fine. Since you've come to my Udon Prison, I'll make sure you don't leave alive, impostor!" Quinn shouted, glancing back at his subordinates.

They exchanged looks and immediately understood Quinn's signal.

They hurried back to the control panel and picked up the Den Den Mushi.

Watching their actions, Ryuma sighed inwardly. He knew he had to finish this quickly. It was unlikely he could defeat Quinn in a short time, but he was confident he could free the prisoners.

Without Devil Fruit powers, that would be impossible—he wouldn't be able to handle them all. But he possessed the Shadow-Shadow Fruit ability.

He could split his shadow into several and open the cells separately while keeping Quinn occupied with his main body here.

Ryuma closed his eyes briefly. When he reopened them, his shadow had vanished, but Quinn did not notice at all!

Quinn suddenly became visibly excited. In an instant, his body transformed into a gigantic Apatosaurus!

Ryuma was taken aback, despite having expected something like this.

This was enormous! Compared to that Apatosaurus, he looked like a tiny human!

If he remembered correctly, Kaido's dragon form was also huge—several times larger than this Apatosaurus.

That meant Quinn completely dominated in size!

How was he supposed to take on Kaido then?

Ryuma wiped the cold sweat from his forehead and shook his head to clear his mind of such distractions. For now, he just needed to deal with the present.

Ryuma had just drawn his black blade Shūsui when Quinn suddenly vanished!

Ryuma watched in curiosity as Quinn disappeared.

Damn, I was careless. How could I be so distracted in the middle of a fight!

"Apatosaurus Bomb!" Quinn roared, his voice unleashing a fierce dragon's roar.

Ryuma scanned his surroundings but saw nothing, then instinctively glanced up at the sky.

What he saw shocked him.

Quinn's head was pointed downward, plummeting like a cannonball!

The "Apatosaurus Bomb" was a move Quinn used when in his dinosaur form—diving from high above and striking enemies headfirst with tremendous impact.

Ryuma's heart skipped a beat as he watched Quinn descend from above.

If that hit him, he'd be nothing but minced meat!

His eyes brightened as he quickly predicted Quinn's landing spot. In the next moment, he smoothly pivoted to dodge the massive meatball hurtling toward him.

But it was still close—so close that Ryuma's pristine white kimono caught a tear from brushing against the beast.

"So fierce… Everyone in the Beasts Pirates just charges straight through, no fancy tricks at all," Ryuma gritted his teeth, filled with grudging admiration.

The ground where Quinn's head struck had already begun to crack open completely, spiderweb-like fractures spreading rapidly before Ryuma's eyes.

He stared fixedly.

Opening the doors of several prison cells, Ryuma told himself to hold on for just two more minutes—only two minutes.

Quinn glared coldly at Ryuma. "Hmph… I didn't expect you to be so stubborn. Fine, let's see how long you can last!"

With that, Quinn slowly raised his left front claw—his left front claw was mechanical as well!

"Boom!"

Quinn smashed down at Ryuma's head with a speed so fast it was almost deafening.

Ryuma shouted in alarm.

The two were so close that dodging was impossible—he had no choice but to endure the blow head-on.
