Chapter 4 - Copying A-Train's Ability Template

In the blink of an eye, A-Train disappeared, leaving only a broken trail of blood leading towards the bedroom. Russell naturally knew where he went.

"Don't come over, do You want money?

I have a lot of money!"

Seeing the man who attacked him in the outer room approaching with a crowbar, A-Train was filled with fear. He realized this man was not ordinary, and his thoughts became chaotic with terror.

"Who sent You, Shockwave? He's always coveted my position as the fastest. Whoever sent You to attack me, I'll pay double."

Russell walked to the bedroom door, blocking A-Train's escape route, completely ignoring his plea for mercy.

"You can run so fast without legs? It reminds me of how flexible gorillas' hands and feet are in the zoo; they can even use them to walk."

"You... You're courting death! You dare to speak to me like that, to the great A-Train!"

His girlfriend was tied up, he had nowhere to run, and his pleas were met with such mockery. A-Train was enraged.

He suddenly erupted, flashing towards Russell with his hands, leaping into the air, and slamming a heavy punch into Russell's chest.

"Bang!"

The supersonic punch carried terrifying power.

Russell was sent flying as if hit by a truck, piercing through the bedroom wall, then smashing the solid wood dining table in the living room, finally embedding himself deep into the wall.

The wall cracked in a spiderweb pattern, and the entire building shook.

Amidst the flying dust, A-Train panted heavily. As the adrenaline from his rage subsided, the intense pain in his legs returned.

He trembled as he touched his deformed legs, wondering if his hero career would end here.

"Bastard, I'll tear You to pieces!" A-Train cried in pain, looking at his legs, cursing with fear and resentment.

"I'm afraid You can't do that." A voice suddenly rang out. A-Train turned his head, terrified to see Russell dusting himself off and walking out of the wall, completely unharmed!

"Impossible! How are You not dead?"

As a member of The Seven, A-Train's power was beyond doubt.

In the entire World, besides the god-like powerful Homelander and Queen Maeve from The Seven, and the useless Translucent who only had carbon-based skin defense, he hadn't met a fourth person who could withstand his serious attack.

Bang!

Intense fear swept over his body. A-Train glanced at his girlfriend, then gritted his teeth and leaped, smashing through the window. He abandoned her without hesitation and escaped using his hands.

The blood spurting from his severed legs fanned out under the moonlight, like a fuel tank leaking oil all the way.

The sight of the 1700 km/h Superheroes A-Train desperately escaping on his hands was as grotesque and comical as a Komodo dragon with its hind legs chopped off.

Unlike Superheroes in other Worlds who had experienced true blood battles, the heroes in The Boys World, including Homelander, dealt with ordinary people and had never experienced a proper fight. Their courage was easily broken.

"He just ran away?" Russell dusted himself off, not bothered.

Someone ran away in fear, which meant the fight was over, and A-Train had lost.

Russell instantly felt like a different person, feeling every muscle group filled with explosive power.

The difference in strength and speed compared to before was like that between an ant and an elephant.

A-Train's strength could pull a train engine, with a minimum power of dozens of tons. Coupled with his near-supersonic impact, if not for Translucent's strong skin defense, even a man made of iron couldn't withstand his punch.

Now everything was ready, only lacking the final ingredient.

Feeling the power throughout his body, Russell's lips curled into a smile.

...

Returning to the Invincible World again.

The room was dark. Russell changed into his pajamas and lay on the bed, resting his arm under his head and counting his gains. He had been in The Boys World for less than an hour and obtained the ability templates of Translucent and A-Train.

His departure didn't attract anyone's attention.

Including his Omni-Man uncle.

Viltrumites have Superheroes strength, Superheroes speed, and other abilities, but they don't have terrifying Superheroes hearing and Superheroes vision like Kryptonian.

Their senses are certainly sharper than ordinary people, but that's it.

It's worth mentioning that after Russell copies another person's ability template, he doesn't need to practice. He directly gains the other person's proficiency with the ability; it's a complete copy.

So there's no need to practice.

"It's a pity the system can only copy ability templates."

After getting the system, Russell immediately dragged Mark, who had no abilities yet, to spar in boxing. After a complete victory, he only got the ability template of a weak, homebody high school student.

As for now, Mark has various Superheroes abilities, and he can't beat him anymore.

"But it doesn't matter. Just wait until tomorrow, and I'll gain strength comparable to Mark, or even surpass him!"

He had to get up for school in a few hours, so Russell forced himself to fall asleep quickly.

On the first day of awakening his powers, time had never passed so quickly for Mark. When in a good mood, time always flies.

He practiced flying under his father's guidance in the morning.

He went to school in the morning and ran into Todd, the football player who beat him up yesterday, in the school hallway.

Mark provoked him slightly and stood there, letting the football player Todd hit him several times. He didn't even blink, feeling no pain, scaring the other party into calling him a freak and running away.

Looking at his classmates' surprised eyes, his lips curled up proudly.

However, Mark didn't notice Russell's slightly pitying gaze towards him from the side, as if looking at a poor child who had received a gift from fate, carefree, but unaware of the price that would come with it.

At noon, Mark put on his self-made suit and stopped a bank robbery. He also dealt with a gang leader who had the Superheroes ability to create stone skin, helping others. Seeing the surprised and adoring eyes of the public, he felt even happier.

It was just that when people asked for his hero name, he hadn't thought about the question and stammered, unable to answer, which was a bit regrettable.

In the evening, accompanied and led by his father, Omni-Man, the strongest Superheroes on Earth, he was taken to a place specifically for other Superheroes to get custom-made suits and chose a super cool Superheroes suit.

When Mark lay in bed late at night, he eagerly anticipated the next day because he had decided on his hero name—Invincible!

He would find an opportunity to announce it to the people he had helped tomorrow.

Meanwhile, in the other bedroom.

Russell lay on his pillow, staring at the ceiling. He felt like time had passed very slowly that day because he was waiting.

Waiting is always difficult.

But thankfully, it passed.

He knew what Mark had done that day, his attempt at being a Superheroes for a day.

With A-Train's abilities, Russell could also go out and be a qualified Superheroes capable of dealing with Superheroes villains, enjoying applause and cheers. He didn't do it flamboyantly.

At this time, he needed to be low-key and not attract anyone's attention.

"Only for tomorrow."

Tomorrow is the day Omni-Man attacks the Global Guardians, and also the day he goes to the Global Guardians headquarters for 'shopping'.

In the room, Russell's eyes were sharp like a wolf's—dark, bright, burning with undisguised ambition.
