Chapter 32 - This Is Infinitoid, He Does Whatever He Wants

"This isn't the first time. Just a few days ago, our teammate A-Train was ambushed at home."

And now, Translucent's body is laid out before us. This means—someone is targeting The Seven."

Homelander said coldly.

Black Noir, seated, showed no surprise at his teammate Translucent appearing in the hall in such a state, as if accustomed to even the most gruesome scenes, but hearing that sentence, he subtly straightened up.

After all, he was also a member of The Seven.

"Who... who did this?" Madelyn's voice trembled slightly.

Two days ago, Vought discovered Translucent missing. She had asked Homelander to look for him, only to see Translucent again in this condition.

Slowly and deliberately withdrawing his gaze from everyone's faces, Homelander smiled inwardly, quite pleased with their reactions.

Now everyone was more or less worried about the You-Know-Who or force targeting The Seven. Some were even scared out of their wits, like The Deep, that Joker.

The only one still able to remain calm here was him.

This gave him a pleasant sense of superiority. Homelander lifted his chin; deities never felt fear.

"The problem isn't who did it," walking past the table, Homelander avoided the question he hadn't yet figured out, his gaze sweeping over everyone's faces, saying unhurriedly, "but rather—they dared to do it."

There was no panic in his tone, only a kind of firmness and ruthlessness that seemed to give people a backbone.

"They dared to attack A-Train, dared to kill Translucent, dared to provoke us." "What does this mean?"

No one answered.

"It means they aren't afraid of us." Homelander chuckled lightly, as if he had discovered something interesting. "And I'll make them understand—they *should* be afraid!"

Just as Homelander was seizing the opportunity to give a booming speech, aiming to make everyone feeling uneasy need him more, the council hall door suddenly pushed open.

His meeting interrupted, Homelander instinctively shot an displeased look at the newcomer, wanting to know who was so bold, but his expression changed.

Tap, tap, tap.

The conference room door was suddenly pushed open, and the sound of leather shoes on the marble floor instantly silenced everyone.

Stan Edgar stepped in, his black suit meticulously fitted to his tall frame, his gaze behind his glasses as cold as ice.

Behind him followed an unfamiliar young man, handsome and tall, with a casual smile in his eyes, wearing a battle suit predominantly in a cool black tone.

"Mr. Edgar?" Madelyn abruptly stood up and hurried forward, her high heels tapping a frantic rhythm on the marble.

Maeve, Starlight, and the others also stood up—except for the injured A-Train. Fearing Mr. Edgar would think he was being disrespectful, he quickly wheeled his chair back, accidentally hitting the edge of the conference table and aggravating his injury, trembling in pain but not daring to cry out.

Edgar ignored Madelyn's greeting and walked directly to the main seat.

The main seat, which had always belonged only to Homelander, no one dared to object, including Homelander.

But then, unexpectedly, the young man also sat down, his elbow casually resting on the back of the chair, even crossing his legs, his posture so relaxed it was as if he were back home.

Mr. Edgar seemed not to notice this extremely rude behavior in front of a superior, acting as if it were perfectly normal.

Everyone exchanged startled looks, and Homelander's eyelid twitched in surprise.

[Conquest Points +1] [Conquest Points +3]

[Conquest Points +18]

[Conquest Points +43]...

"The CEO himself has graced us with his presence," struggling to withdraw his surprised gaze from the young man with the mysterious identity, Homelander's tone seemed light, subtly and deliberately revealing a hint of displeasure, "I've never seen you come down to care about us before."

He subtly emphasized 'us', wanting to pull Maeve and the others into his camp using the same status.

Edgar took off his glasses and slowly wiped the lenses. "Allow me to introduce," he said without lifting his head, "this is Infinitoid. Effective immediately, he will join The Seven.

He is not subject to anyone's control and has the power to do whatever he wants."

Homelander, whose words were first ignored, his expression stiffened, then he suddenly cast his gaze towards the young man.

Maeve and the others' gazes instantly focused on the young man, some surprised, some curious. Who was this youth, personally brought by CEO Edgar, who never came down for inspections, and announced to be joining The Seven?

[Conquest Points +2] [Conquest Points +46] [Conquest Points +89]...

Another wave of Conquest Points refreshed. The points gained just now totaled several hundred. A hint of satisfaction imperceptibly flickered in Russell's eyes.

Powerful individuals could provide more Conquest Points. Homelander and Maeve were two of the top three most powerful Supes in this World.

"Although the Invincible World has more powerful individuals, it will never be like The Boys World, where the power of a company CEO can make a group of powerful Supes tremble."

He could probably easily gain nearly a thousand Conquest Points in a day. He was already looking forward to the days ahead.

Not subject to anyone's control? Didn't that mean his status was even higher than Homelander's?

Hearing CEO Edgar's words, Madelyn, who knew many secrets, was even more startled. She looked at Russell, then quickly glanced at Homelander, her eyes desperately trying to hide the shock and suspicion in her heart.

Could this Infinitoid be the next generation Homelander, just like how the company once replaced Soldier Boy with the more controllable and superior Homelander?

At this moment, the people in the room were unaware that Edgar, whom they both respected and feared, was merely Russell's puppet, his every word and action actually originating from Russell's will.

It seemed like Edgar was speaking, but it was actually Russell.

"Join The Seven?" Homelander's voice suddenly rose, "According to procedure, new members should be chosen by me, the Captain, and—"

In The Seven, only he had always been able to give orders, but even at Vought, he couldn't just do whatever he wanted. What right did this young man have?

Despite having power comparable to deities, he always placed special importance on things that were relatively insignificant: status, face, the love and need of others.

Russell was not at all surprised by Homelander's reaction.

The Seven had always been regarded by Homelander as his private domain.

"The Seven is Vought's IP product," Edgar interrupted him, putting his glasses back on, "and I am the CEO." The reflection on his lenses obscured his eyes, and the coldness in his tone made the others tense up. Starlight, who had only recently joined Vought, unconsciously took half a step back.

"As CEO, my power at Vought is absolute. Disbanding or even shelving The Seven is within my authority, let alone merely deciding to add a new member."

A chill ran down Starlight's back. The CEO's tone was as if they weren't people, but merely commodities, the only difference being whether they sold well or not.

Ruthlessly rebuffed in front of everyone, Homelander clenched his fists at his sides, secretly gritting his teeth.

He quickly glanced around—The Deep was looking down, pretending to study his scaled gloves; Maeve stood with her arms crossed, a faint cold smile playing on her lips; Black Noir's face was expressionless under his mask, he was Vought's most loyal dog, his attitude was obvious...

These teammates, who had just been shocked by Translucent's death and were subconsciously leaning towards him, had all become silent bystanders at this moment.

What made his anger flare even more was that 'Infinitoid'. He was leaning back in his chair, watching his predicament with keen interest, as if his expression of suppressed rage and forced composure was particularly amusing.

"He... how dare he!"
