Chapter 41 - Collecting the Atom Eve Template

Temporarily putting aside the troubling matters, Eve focused all her attention on the battle before her, lowering her center of gravity as her energy armor emitted a subtle hum.

Russell beckoned, indicating she could attack at any time.

Among this group of Superheroes, counting Rachel, a shrinking person with a slightly interesting ability who hadn't yet entered the arena, Atom Eve was one of only two Superheroes he still paid attention to.

Furthermore, if he were to choose whose template he most wanted to collect, it would also be Atom Eve.

Bang!

The pink figure instantly broke the sound barrier.

Eve's fist, carrying astonishing destructive power, arrived with a roar. The moment Russell sidestepped to evade, the special alloy ground where he had been standing caved in and shattered like foam.

"Energy projection, telepathy, at least molecular-level matter manipulation..." Russell's eyes lit up as he weaved and dodged, "She's practically a younger version of Dr. Manhattan."

His speed was like a gale, and he threw a punch.

Eve's thick shield, formed from energy, was shattered like it had been hit by a missile. In the fierce wind, she was violently sent flying backward.

Her feet scraped two black marks on the ground as she released light from her hands to stabilize herself and fly into the air, the pink light in her eyes intensifying.

Atom Eve was enveloped in pink atomic energy, the light reflecting on her delicate face, adding a touch of sharp beauty.

She took a deep breath, spread her hands, and energy converged like flowing water. Her battle armor transformed into a heavy mecha, tall and massive, like a majestic steel deity.

Russell's lips curved slightly. This mecha looked somewhat familiar.

"Flaxan Ultimate Mecha?"

"That's right, if my energy armor isn't thick enough, I'm afraid it won't block your attacks!" Eve let out a soft cry. Her figure became a pink lightning bolt, instantly closing in on Russell, her massive energy mecha fist slamming directly towards him.

Russell didn't dodge or evade, his right hand precisely meeting it, his palm steadily catching her fist—

Boom!

The shockwave of the collision swept out, and the training ground floor trembled slightly, but his feet remained rooted to the spot.

Crack!

Russell's five fingers formed a claw, and the mecha fist, formed from energy, instantly shattered, like weathered plastic, crushed by a terrifying force like a hydraulic press.

Undeterred, Eve spun around and swept a whip kick towards his side.

Russell reacted extremely fast, his left hand pressing down to block, while his right leg retreated half a step, smoothly dissipating the force. He grabbed the mecha's leg and violently turned, throwing it out.

Boom!

A blurred trajectory flashed and was gone. Eve's mecha figure slammed heavily into the thick iron wall, the fierce impact denting the iron wall, almost embedding her in the wall.

The entire training ground shook with a roar. The viewing area vibrated underfoot, as if there was an earthquake.

"Ah, Russell..." Mark behind the viewing window was startled and instinctively stepped forward, afraid that Cousin might accidentally seriously injure Eve.

Russell noticed him, amused by Mark's reaction, and his lips moved a few times, the shape of his mouth forming the word—Relax.

"Again!" As the smoke and dust cleared, the fighting spirit in Eve's eyes intensified. She pushed her palms forward, and pink energy suddenly erupted, transforming into dozens of energy beams shooting towards Russell from all directions.

Russell's figure suddenly blurred, his speed instantly increasing. He weaved through the gaps between the energy beams like a black phantom.

Every dodge was precise to the millimeter. His cape flapped in the high-speed movement, yet it was never grazed by the energy. As he dodged, his figure flashed several times, pushing forward with a powerful sense of oppression towards Eve, looking down at her.

Eve panted slightly, her fighting spirit undiminished. She raised her hands high, and energy converged into a massive pink energy blade. Instead of retreating, she leaped high, slashing down at Russell!

The air tore as the large blade came down.

Russell looked up, a faint smile flashing in his eyes. He raised his right arm, gathering strength in his fist, and punched out towards the energy blade—

Boom!

The energy blade disintegrated the moment it made contact, followed by the heavy energy mecha shattering inch by inch, turning into countless pink light points that fell like rain.

Russell's fist stopped steadily an inch in front of Eve. The fierce wind from his punch blew her hair, but did not harm her in the slightest.

"I lost, Infinitoid."

Stepping back two steps, Eve held her chest, recovering from her heart rate that had suddenly accelerated due to fright.

"Even the genuine Flaxan Ultimate Mecha couldn't defeat you, so it's normal that my imitation lost."

She had no obsession with whether she could join the Global Guardians.

Instead, she was very grateful to Russell for fighting with her when she was feeling down.

[Atom Eve template successfully collected]

"Your abilities actually have great potential."

Russell chuckled. Next, one after another, other Superheroes took turns undergoing the test.

The incredibly fast Fragment, the Living Lightning who could release powerful currents, and even Gorilla Man, who could turn into a mountain gorilla and had a strong body, and even the Demigod with Greek Demigod blood who was invulnerable... one by one, famous Superheroes all fell under his hand.

Not a single person could make him exert himself.

After battle after battle, Infinitoid's face was still not red and his breathing was not labored, as if these were not even warm-ups for him.

Everyone was defeated under his hand. The test ended, and they watched the unfathomable figure in the White cape leave the training ground.

The metal doors of the training ground slowly closed. In the viewing corridor, several Superheroes who had just been defeated gathered together, and a subtle silence permeated the air.

Fragment, a speedster with supersonic reactions and speed, rubbed his neck which was still throbbing faintly. "My speed was as slow as an old lady going down the stairs in front of him."

Beside him, Might, a strong man who could lift a thousand-ton ship, had a depressed expression. "I punched with all my might, and he blocked it with just one finger."

"One finger."

Might had always been proud of his perfect muscles and strength, but now he was dejected.

The legendary hero who could withstand an intercontinental missile with his bare body and remain unharmed—Demigod—was leaning against the wall at this moment, his gaze somewhat unfocused, his fingers unconsciously stroking the battle armor on his chest where Russell's single blow had left a shallow fist print.

He seemed to still be immersed in the battle he had never lost so badly.

Demigod was as strong as the legendary Achilles and skilled in martial arts. He had thought he would be the exception, different from the other defeated Superheroes, and at least make that young man take his attacks seriously, adding some suspense to the battle.

As a result, he gave his all... and was still easily defeated. The other party finally apologized to him, saying he hadn't controlled his strength and had damaged his battle armor.

"I'm convinced by Infinitoid. It would be best if he led the Global Guardians, but unfortunately... he seems to be just a temporary combat test officer hired by the Global Defense Agency today..."

Fragment said.

"Speaking of that new Captain Robot... has anyone heard of him?" Might folded his arms, glancing left and right. "Originally, I thought that as long as I could join the Global Guardians, accepting his leadership temporarily was fine.

But suddenly... I feel a bit bored."

They were all scrambling to join the new Global Guardians, wanting to become new legends through this, but Infinitoid didn't seem very interested in the Global Guardians.
