Three floors beneath Manhattan.
In the Hellfire Club's mahogany conference room, the light from the crystal chandelier was almost entirely swallowed by the thick velvet curtains.
Sebastian Shaw, the Black King, sat at the head of the long table, his pale fingers tapping lightly on the ebony surface, his face cold and grim, like a somber monarch.
"Gentlemen, recall that since the Hellfire Club was founded in the 1980s, only the most excellent talents in the World could join us. But what have we done all these years?
Nothing but exchanging resources, earning some money, and currying favor with high-ranking officials from various countries."
He tapped the table, one tap after another, with a rhythm that was inexplicably oppressive, making people irritable.
The White Queen, Emma Frost, narrowed her eyes, her diamond-hard fingertips silently tracing the rim of her wine glass.
"What do you want to say, Shaw?"
Black Bishop Harold Leland, with his full beard, wearing a judge's robe, his body obese, his vest straining over his belly, held a bottle of whiskey in his other hand. A heavy drinker, he always had a bottle in hand, signaling the Black King to get straight to the point.
"Gentlemen, ladies, I have decided to lead you to do something great," the Black King's voice was colder than the Arctic ice, "such as rewriting the course of history, controlling the entire World."
Riptide, who had been toying with a small whirlwind at his fingertips, paused for a moment, then continued to play with the whirlwind as if he hadn't heard. He had always been the Black King's loyal dog; he did whatever the Black King said.
"Over ten thousand nuclear warheads from countries around the globe," the Black King continued, "will become our chess pieces to reshuffle the global order."
"If I heard correctly—Black King, are you talking about destroying the World?"
Black Knight Donald Pierce froze for a moment, his mechanical arm pausing its light scratch on his chin. He looked at the White Queen in surprise. As the only two business people in the Club, they quickly exchanged glances.
He wanted to know if the White Queen, who was always inseparable from the Black King, knew about this plan.
A flicker of suspicion crossed the White Queen's eyes. As King and Queen, they had worked together, always tightly grasping the core power of the entire Club, but the Black King hadn't informed her about such a major matter beforehand.
She subtly frowned, instinctively using her psychic abilities to try to probe the Black King's mind, wanting to see what he was plotting.
Sizzle!
The White Queen's probing consciousness was like plunging headfirst into a vast, pitch-black ocean of darkness, boundless and suffocating. She was overwhelmed by an endless surge of malice, her body trembling, knocking over the wine glass beside her hand.
Crash!
The glass shattered into pieces, and everyone's gaze instantly turned to her.
"Emma?" Shaw suddenly turned to her, the crystal chandelier light shining down from above, half his face submerged in shadow, a smile on his lips, "Are you drunk?"
"Just startled by your grand plan."
The White Queen, chilled to the bone, feigned composure, a trace of an unnatural smile on her face.
Among the Club's high-ranking members, the Black King spoke, the White Queen acquiesced, and the Black Bishop remained as uninvolved as ever. The small meeting quickly passed.
Everyone, under the Black King's leadership, discussed the entire plan in detail.
Finding an excuse to slip out of the conference room, the White Queen's high heels tapped an uneasy rhythm on the marble floor. She swiftly entered the elevator, frantically pressing the door close button.
She didn't know who that person was, but it was definitely not the Black King.
That vast and evil psychic power was unlike anything she had ever encountered.
Emma Frost felt a chill. The Hellfire Club no longer belonged to her and the Black King, but had become a possession and tool of something far more terrifying.
As the elevator door was about to close, a hand suddenly slid into the elevator, blocking the door.
"In such a hurry to leave, My White Queen?"
The 'Black King's' figure blocked the elevator door.
"You are not Shaw, who are you?"
The White Queen's body quickly diamond-hardened, and just as she was about to punch, the 'Black King' single-handedly seized her by the neck, lifting her off the ground and squeezing tightly.
Crack! Crack!
The White Queen's diamond body emitted sounds of unbearable strain.
"Me? I am darkness, I am ugliness, I am slaughter… I am the embodiment of all dark consciousness of humanity, I am the Shadow King!"
The "Black King" laughed, his voice deep like a demonic sound, the corridor and elevator lights flickering. His eyes shot out astonishing ghostly glows, terrifying to behold.
"Put Me down!" Emma's diamond body reflected countless distorted and eerie 'Black King figures'. She trembled all over, her telepathy erupting with full force.
But it was like an enraged cat crashing into a writhing, living wall.
Compared to it, her psychic ability was like an infant's compared to an adult's.
Then the wall suddenly changed, as if a monstrous evil wave crashed down. The White Queen's psychic consciousness was instantly submerged in darkness, and the light in her eyes faded.
The Shadow King threw down the corpse, his cold, cackling laughter echoing in the flickering, dark corridor.
"This time—no one can stop Me anymore. The entire World will fall into My Shadow and be unable to escape!"
...
On Bear Mountain, Russell and the Scarlet Witch received Professor X's warning and realized the seriousness of the situation.
In this World, there are no other Superheroes. If the Shadow King wants to control a body, he will inevitably control the body of a powerful Mutant.
"Father and Professor X are the two most famous Mutants on Earth.
Father might be one of the targets."
Wanda's brows furrowed with worry.
Although Magneto had a psychic protection helmet, if the Shadow King first invaded someone else's body and then opportunistically surrendered, Magneto might also be affected.
Russell, however, thought of more.
The Shadow King had possessed many people. Besides Storm, who had escaped from him, and Professor X, who had once imprisoned him outside reality, there were also Psylocke, Deadpool, Jean Grey's daughter, and others…
"Who will it be this time?…"
Just as the two were about to leave with Red Tank to return.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, everyone except Russell and Red Tank felt an inexplicable chill down their spines, and their hearts trembled deeply and uneasily, as if some silent and massive terrifying creature had just passed by.
"He… He has already made his move!"
Professor X's hands pressed tightly against his temples, his knuckles turning white from the effort—a black tsunami, unprecedented, was surging in his sea of consciousness.
His voice trembled.
"The Shadow King's psychic power has swept across the globe. He found Me and is 'greeting' Me. He is more powerful than last time. I am struggling to resist him."
Jean Grey's long red hair moved without wind. She felt that evil psychic power—like billions of spiders simultaneously crawling over the cerebral cortex.
In the mental vision, the Earth was covered and enveloped by a giant Shadow firmament.
"I also sensed it."
Russell looked at the Scarlet Witch for confirmation. The Scarlet Witch also had some psychic abilities, and her face changed slightly as she said.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"This is…"
Beast Hank's wristband suddenly blared an alarm.
"I made this alarm after Magneto's failed raid on the nuclear missile Base last time."
"The Pentagon. The Kremlin…" Sweat beaded on Beast Hank's forehead. He quickly pulled out his handheld computer and saw hundreds of red dots light up on the global map, "All nuclear weapon Bases are initiating launch procedures!"
"What?"
Rogue and Cyclops's faces changed drastically.
Again, trying to destroy the World with nuclear bombs.
"I really don't know who these human nuclear bombs were made for."
Russell sighed, looking towards the horizon.
In missile silos around the globe, controlled soldiers uniformly turned their keys, their pupils reflecting an eerie ghostly glow, and the exact same smile hung on their lips—as if they had all become someone's puppets at that moment.
"Quick… take me to Cerebro."
Professor X clutched the armrests of his wheelchair, his face pale, struggling against Shadow King, words squeezed through his teeth.
"Now only I can stop him…"
Beast and the others were fumbling, about to move.
Charles Xavier didn't even have time to finish his last sentence before the scene before him suddenly blurred—
When his consciousness refocused, the cold Cerebro was already pressed against his Sun temples.
Russell grabbed Professor X's wheelchair and brought him to the X-Mansion in a flash.
"Because I wasn't familiar with the layout of your school, it took a little time to find this room, but it shouldn't be too late." He stood aside, surveying the entire Cerebro chamber.
"Thank you, child."
Professor X had no time for more words, hastily activated the Cerebro, and closed his eyes.
In an instant, his consciousness exploded, spreading across thousands of mountains and rivers, reaching every nuclear missile Base on the Globe.
In his mental vision, hundreds of military facilities were entangled by Shadow King's purplish-black psychic tentacles, like flies caught in a spiderweb.
"Disperse!"
Charles's psychic power dispelled the Shadows lurking in the soldiers' minds.
And his mental power transformed into an invisible barrier, blocking the entire military Base like a dam.
Shadow King's psychic tentacles crashed into the barrier, emitting a silent shriek, filled with pure malicious mental energy, a mere wisp of which was enough to instantly shatter any normal person's brain.
Fine beads of sweat seeped from Professor X's forehead.
On the mental plane, he was single-handedly wrestling with Shadow King—hundreds of nuclear missile Bases, each a battlefield.
Shadow King's tentacles were temporarily blocked, and the soldiers' fingers retracted from the launch buttons in alarm.
Boom!
In the Hellfire Club, Shadow King suddenly opened his eyes, his face so gloomy it seemed Water could drip from it, his heart filled with boundless resentment.
"It's You again, Charles Xavier, how long do You think You can resist Me? Overestimating yourself!"
The purplish-black psychic tentacles receded like a tide, but in an instant, they split into billions of fine threads, drilling into the minds of ordinary people in Manhattan.
Amidst anger, fear, hatred, and desire, all dark thoughts were extracted like nutrients, providing him with an unending stream of power.
Charles felt the pressure surge, as Shadow King's mental power ferociously counterattacked.
In the Cerebro chamber, Scarlet Witch and Wolverine arrived shortly after.
"Infinitoid, Scarlet Witch, Scott. Logan,"
Professor X spoke with difficulty, "He's in Manhattan… the Hellfire Club, underground… I must maintain the barrier, You must go quickly."
"I can't hold him for too long, his mental power seems endless…"
"Professor, I can stay and help You."
Jean said urgently, then she joined Professor X, helping him in the psychic battlefield against Shadow King, giving Professor X a moment to breathe.
"Manhattan? Hellfire Club?"
Russell and Wanda exchanged glances.
"No matter what, we can't let this Shadow King destroy the World," Wanda frowned, speaking softly.
Although her father's Mutant Brotherhood had always had many frictions with the X-Men, on this matter, everyone was on the same front.
"Professor, Jean, hold on."
Cyclops and the others rushed towards the Blackbird supersonic jet.
"We'll go ahead."
Russell stepped back, wrapped an arm around Wanda's waist, and grabbed Red Tank with the other hand.
At this moment, the World was in peril, no time for more nonsense.
Whoosh!
In a blink, Russell brought the two to the sky above the Hellfire Club in Manhattan, and he threw Red Tank down.
Red Tank's massive body crashed like a cannonball in front of the building.
"We have guests."
Black Bishop leaned by the window, holding a wine glass, looking down.
"Let Me meet them."
Riptide looked at the tall figures below the window and the two figures in the sky, a smirk on his lips. He waved his hand, releasing a massive tornado that shattered the window and swept towards Red Tank, who was charging towards the building.
"Destroy the World?
Did You ask Red Tank?
No pizza and party days, are You trying to anger Red Tank?!"
Though Red Tank wasn't very bright, he knew someone in this building was trying to destroy the World, and he absolutely wouldn't allow it.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The huge tornado, growing as it ascended, pulled cars from the street into its vortex, then surged forward.
Red Tank charged straight into it, head down. When he ran, he had an unstoppable force, like a nuclear submarine at full speed. Even the fierce wind that could uproot trees along the street couldn't lift him off the ground.
He walked straight through the tornado.
"Found it…" Russell released Scarlet Witch, his eyes activating X-Ray Vision, scanning the entire building, directly ignoring everyone else.
If Shadow King was going to possess someone, he certainly wouldn't occupy the body of a minor character.
In a room on the third basement level, Russell found a man's figure, middle-aged, tall and imposing, with a beard, exuding the aura of a superior, his eyes tightly closed, seemingly battling some invisible force.
Compared to Professor X in New York,
This guy looked completely unstressed.
Sizzle! Sizzle!
Two beams of Heat Vision pierced through reinforced concrete, directly shooting into the third basement level and striking the man's body.
"Infinitoid, Scarlet Witch… the powerful Mutants of this World?
Heh heh, Mutants again."
The laser that struck his body, a red flash, was absorbed in an instant. Shadow King opened his eyes, which seemed to pierce through the building and the ground, seeing Russell in mid-air.
The countless brains his psychic tentacles had entered were all information databases he could browse at will.
He sneered coldly and raised his palm.
Buzz!
A thick, crimson laser beam pierced the ground, shooting towards Russell.
"Black King, Sebastian Shaw…"
Russell tilted his head, dodging the laser. The scorching laser burned the air, leaving a trace behind.
From his distinctive appearance and abilities, he recognized the opponent.
Black King was a powerful Mutant on par with Professor X and Magneto, capable of absorbing all forms of energy and converting it into his own, which he could then release at will.
His inherent ability was already powerful enough.
Now, with Shadow King occupying his body, he had no weaknesses, neither physical nor psychic.
"Riptide, your tricks don't seem to be working," Black Bishop Harold Leland said, draining his glass as he watched Red Tank charge through the tornado.
He extended a hand, pointing it at Red Tank, who was running like an unstoppable tank, about to crash into the building.
Boom!
"No one can suppress Red Tank!"
Red Tank's body suddenly sank, as if an invisible hill had pressed down on him, his feet sinking into the mud.
He roared, trying to pull his legs free, but the immense gravity pressing down on him was increasing almost exponentially.
Red Tank's body was pressed into the earth as if by an invisible giant finger, rapidly sinking towards the Earth's core, out of sight of light.
Black Bishop Harold Leland's ability was to impose gravity on others.
His strength was actually inferior to Red Tank's, but Red Tank couldn't fly. Under the immense gravity, the mud beneath Red Tank's feet became as soft as Water, providing insufficient support, making him unable to exert force.
"Someone is attacking Black King."
Riptide noticed that the two people in the sky seemed to have launched an attack and, wanting to save face, waved his hand to create an even larger tornado, connecting Heaven and Earth, like a hurricane, sweeping towards Russell and Wanda.
But this time he picked the wrong opponent.
"Hmm? Has Shadow King gathered helpers so quickly?"
The hurricane howled, but Wanda waved her hand, and the hurricane vanished into nothingness.
"Riptide, Black Bishop… White Queen isn't here?
With her telepathic abilities, she should have immediately sensed Black King's abnormality. Was she killed or did she run?"
Russell shifted his gaze, noticing the few minor figures he had previously ignored. From their characteristics and abilities, he recognized them as members of the Hellfire Club.
Sizzle!
He casually swept a beam of Heat Vision, cutting through the building.
Like a hot knife through butter, the entire building was sliced open. Riptide, with a chilling pain in his waist, stiffly looked down.
"You… who are You?"
And Black Bishop Harold Leland, who had just pressed Red Tank into the ground from afar with a single finger, also had a bloodline with burn marks across his waist.
His eyes were wide like a frog's, staring incredulously at the figure in the sky.
As a high-ranking member of the Hellfire Club, the powerful Black Bishop never imagined he would be killed in one encounter, not even knowing his opponent's name.
[Black Bishop template collected]
[Riptide template collected]
[…].
Ignoring the dying struggles of Black Bishop and the others, Russell retracted his gaze and looked underground. This Shadow King, who had occupied 'Black King's' body, was the problem that needed to be solved quickly.
"Whoever You are, dare to stop Me, die here!
I will sit on a throne paved with your bones, quietly admiring the destruction of this World."
Shadow King stomped his foot, and an incredibly terrifying force ripped through the Earth. The entire building was torn apart like soft bread by an invisible giant hand. He walked out from underground step by step, his malicious gaze openly scrutinizing the two.
"Quite the big talk!"
Russell's eyes were cold.
"Help! Run! We need to run!"
"Mutants launched a terrorist attack."
"Come save me!"
A major battle erupted in the city center.
The crowd exploded, screams echoed everywhere, and office workers in suits pushed down old women blocking their way. Women in high heels discarded their shoes and ran barefoot.
A street performer hugged his saxophone tightly, curled up behind a trash can, trembling. "God, don't tell me the aliens are back…"
The next second, the entire building was torn apart by an invisible force, scaring him so much that he didn't dare to stop, turning to flee in a panic.
"You will all die here today!"
Sebastian Shaw stood in the center of the torn building, impeccably dressed, with an arrogant sneer on his lips.
His eyes glowed with a strange, eerie light as he looked at Russell and Wanda in mid-air.
"Why do you want to destroy the World?
Is it for pure destruction?
There are truly disgusting people like You in this World."
Wanda waved her hand, releasing Chaos Magic, sweeping up a section of the building's remains, and smashing it hard towards Shadow King.
"It is the countless evils and destruction inherent in the bones of humans!
I am merely complying with the wishes of a portion of humanity!"
Shadow King threw a punch, and the terrifying kinetic energy shattered the building's remains, sending debris flying.
Sizzle!
Lasers shot from Russell's eyes struck Shadow King, a red light flashed and disappeared, absorbed by Shadow King.
The Black King's body, which Shadow King occupied, has the ability to absorb energy. Unless the energy exceeds his absorption limit, any attack is harmless to him, like a spring breeze turning into rain.
Shadow King glared, and a violent psychic force surged into Wanda's mind.
"My head…"
Like an ice pick deeply chiseled into her brain, Wanda's head throbbed with pain.
Buzz!
Shadow King raised his hand and released a laser beam towards Wanda. Russell flashed and blocked in front of Wanda, switching to the more defensive Red Tank template, and used one hand to block the laser cannon.
The intense heat of the laser distorted his vision.
His palm tingled slightly, Russell frowned, and with Wanda, he flashed away.
The injury on his palm healed in the blink of an eye.
"Are You alright?"
"I'm fine, You disgusting fellow, daring to invade my consciousness."
Wanda clutched her head and cleared her mind, looking at Shadow King with anger in her eyes, manipulating buildings to tremble and fly up, smashing them towards Shadow King.
"You can absorb energy, so let's see how much You can absorb!"
Russell swooped down, two laser beams attacking, his incredibly fast figure, accompanied by strong winds, approached Black King. His strong thigh, like a battle-axe, chopped down.
Whoosh—boom!!!
"Not enough, Infinitoid." Shadow King raised his arm to block, and the overwhelming kinetic energy was entirely absorbed by him, like a sponge absorbing Water.
He grinned, his fist suddenly vibrated, causing the atmosphere to hum. That was the kinetic energy from Russell's last attack, which he converted and unleashed back!
"This body can absorb any form of energy, and kinetic energy is a simple one, as easy to absorb as eating and drinking."
Bang!
Russell was sent flying by the punch, crashing through a tall building before stopping. He fired lasers from his eyes, which Shadow King, standing still, also blocked.
"You can't beat me." Black King pushed forward against the lasers, each step leaving a melted footprint on the ground, "Kinetic energy, thermal energy, radiant energy… I can absorb them all, and then return them twofold."
He opened his mouth and roared a light cannon.
Russell dodged, instantly closing the distance to his opponent, delivering a supersonic heavy punch directly to Shadow King's chin!
Shadow King merely tilted his head slightly, his skin rippling with vibrations, absorbing all the impact, and was about to return the punch.
But Russell's figure flickered, dodging Shadow King's punch, and a punch heavier than the last, with enough power to sink an aircraft carrier, slammed into Shadow King's ribs.
Shadow King swung his fist back.
"You can steal others' power, but can You steal speed?"
Russell's figure constantly flickered, his fists, like a fierce storm, pounded Shadow King's entire body, who was more than a beat too slow.
Boom, boom, boom!
In an instant, Shadow King endured blows capable of destroying a town. His expression changed, and he hurriedly released, unleashing Impact waves all over his body.
Boom!
Shadow King exploded like a kinetic nuclear bomb. The terrifying Impact wave shattered buildings within several hundred meters, and the center of Manhattan was suddenly cleared, revealing the deep soil beneath the surface.
Russell was thrown back, doing a few somersaults before stabilizing himself.
"Interesting, what is that helmet of yours made of?
My psychic power cannot break through."
Waving his hand to blast away the buildings Wanda was manipulating, Shadow King frowned, staring intently at Russell.
From the beginning until now, Shadow King had never given up trying to break through and control Russell, especially when Russell had him in a bit of a bind just now, he wanted to switch bodies to Russell's.
But the protective field emanating from that helmet completely isolated psychic power, preventing him from breaking through.
Having discovered the limitations of Black King's ability, it was no longer a concern.
"Want it?
I'll give You one in a bit."
Russell grabbed a flying concrete block, used his matter conversion ability, and transformed it into two helmets of the exact same material as the one on his head.
He threw one to Wanda, grabbed the other, and fixed his cold gaze on Shadow King.
A crimson female helmet, beautiful and majestic.
Wanda held the helmet that could block Shadow King's psychic attacks, feeling a warmth in her heart. She put it on and manipulated matter to bombard Shadow King, creating an opportunity for Russell.
"What do You want to do?"
Energy rays blasted the incoming buildings, Shadow King took a step back, realizing Russell's intention.
Since this helmet can be used to block the attacks of psychics and prevent them from breaking through, if worn on a psychic's head, it would also be the best limiter!
"You wish!"
"Try it, and You'll know if I can do it!"
[Apply Magneto template]
Russell stopped talking nonsense, and suddenly clenched his five fingers!
Rumble—!
The underground Water pipes of the entire street burst, and dozens of tons of metal pipes erupted from the ground like giant pythons, coiling towards Shadow King to strangle him!
"You have this ability too? You truly make me more and more delighted!"
With the surrounding commotion, Shadow King looked at Russell in mid-air again, his gaze somewhat astonished.
Although this body was useful to him, if there was a better one, he could abandon it at any time, like now—
Shadow King felt he had a better choice.
But first, he had to take off that annoying helmet on the other person's head.
"Your body might be more useful than this one!"
Shadow King stomped his foot, the ground cracked, and he shot into the sky like a cannonball, dodging the steel python's pounce and strangle, heading straight for Russell!
Russell flipped his palm.
Those steel pythons soared in pursuit, and the building debris Wanda had slammed down slightly hindered Shadow King's advance.
The alloy pipes coiled upward.
"Hehe…"
Shadow King's body was wrapped and squeezed by steel—and then, his skin rippled with strange vibrations.
"It's useless." He chuckled, shaking his arms, all the metal instantly disintegrated, and the Impact wave spread, sweeping several hundred meters around.
Shadow King used the force to counter-charge, moving towards Russell at an even faster speed.
"The body You chose, its ability is indeed good, but unfortunately, he cannot fly."
Russell coldly raised his hand, a hovering taxi blocked in front of him like a shield—
A fist pierced through the car body, and energy erupted, melting the steel into molten iron!
Bang!!
Although Shadow King tore through the taxi with a punch, his momentum stopped, and he had to fall. His expression was grim.
"Endure Red Tank's charge!"
Just then, Red Tank finally crawled out of the deep pit and violently crashed into Shadow King, who had just landed.
"Get lost!"
Shadow King waved his hand, intending to swat Red Tank away, but felt a terrifyingly immense force, as if a mountain had suddenly crashed into him. Red Tank slammed into him, and a wave of air exploded.
"I underestimated You!"
Shadow King's knees buckled, and he quickly absorbed the continuous kinetic energy that threatened to send him flying.
Just then!
"You like energy?" Russell sneered, "Try this!"
He raised his hands high, and the electricity of the entire city was suddenly drained. In his palms, an electromagnetic energy ball with a diameter of a hundred meters condensed!
"Catch this, Shadow King."
The electromagnetic storm crashed down, Russell didn't care about Red Tank, knowing he definitely wouldn't die.
The terrifying electromagnetic energy annihilated everything, Shadow King's skin flashed wildly, his ability pushed to the extreme, devouring the energy—but this time, his expression changed.
"No… not good…"
His body began to overload, and his blood vessels glowed like lava.
Red Tank continued to charge like a giant beast, trying to overturn Shadow King who was in front of him, and with Russell continuing to apply pressure, the electromagnetic energy washed over Shadow King like a tsunami!
"You absorb energy, but can You withstand the electricity of an entire city in an instant?"
Shadow King knelt on the ground, his skin cracking, energy spewing from the cracks. He roared, releasing the absorbed energy to counterattack, sending Red Tank flying.
Red Tank flew towards the horizon like a shooting star.
"Too late."
Russell suddenly pulled, and the steel skeletons of several skyscrapers were clenched together by an invisible giant hand, piercing like a spear.
Shadow King waved his hand, releasing electromagnetic energy, blasting away the giant steel spear, but his body also staggered.
His entire body was like a bursting Water pipe, covered in wounds, blood flowing everywhere.
"The body You chose has reached its limit."
Russell again manipulated the steel spear to twist like a rope, binding Shadow King.
Just as a Water pipe, even if pulled back from the verge of bursting, would be of much lower quality than before, the Black King's body controlled by Shadow King was severely injured, and its abilities greatly diminished.
"You are right.
Perhaps I was a bit hasty, I didn't expect a guy like You among Mutants.
I should have spent more time choosing a better body."
With his body wrapped and squeezed by steel, Shadow King looked up, sneering sinisterly.
Russell moved a finger, and the psychic-blocking helmet quickly covered Shadow King.
"Hehe… Don't think You can deal with me so easily. I finally returned to reality, I want to have a good time with You humans."
'Black King's' head suddenly drooped, and the helmet was placed on his head.
"Ah… where am I? What did You do to me? Where's my club?"
But the next second, Black King looked up, his whole body aching so much he grimaced, his face full of bewilderment and anger.
"I… I think I had a nightmare."
"Let me go!"
The original owner of this body seemed to have returned. Wanda flew rapidly to Russell's side, and both of them watched their surroundings warily.
[Black King template copied]
Manipulate the alloy helmet to apply pressure and knock out the noisy Black King.
"Wanda, can You sense that guy?"
It seemed that Shadow King decisively abandoned the useless Black King's body and went to occupy someone else. Russell scanned the surroundings, but without telepathic abilities, he couldn't sense anything.
"Where…"
Wanda pressed her temples, her eyes glowing red, scanning the surroundings.
A major battle had erupted in the city center, and everyone else had long since fled. As far as her eyes could see, she found no abnormalities. Looking towards the horizon, she suddenly caught a glimpse of a Shadow.
"There, that is…"
A fat, distorted black Shadow, like a mountain of flesh, wielding malicious tentacles, turned and gave Russell and Wanda a cold smile.
Wanda released Chaos Magic, trying to hold him, but it was too late.
The psychic's astral body is almost as fast as thought.
Shadow King's target was a supersonic jet flying towards the horizon.
"Oh no, he's heading towards the X-Men!"
The World was in peril, and the X-Men were rushing in aboard the Blackbird supersonic jet.
The Blackbird jet tore through the clouds, and the alarm inside the cabin was piercing.
"My God!" Beast Hank's pupils reflected the hellish scene below, his blue fur somewhat bristling.
The Manhattan Midtown skyline was like building blocks crushed by a giant, thick smoke like black pythons coiling around shattered skyscrapers, and grotesque steel skeletons stood on the ground, twisting and deforming in the flames.
"Did a nuclear war just break out here?"
"This must be the Infinitoid and 'Shadow King's' doing. Who did that demon called Shadow King possess to be able to fight the Infinitoid like this?"
Logan, chewing on a cigar, frowned deeply, his adamantium claws slowly extending.
He had personally witnessed the aftermath of Russell's and Magneto's battle, which had leveled an entire military Base, and the scene at that time was no more than this.
Hearing Shadow King's name again, Storm Ororo's fingers tightened on the control panel. "Prepare to land," her voice was uncharacteristically tense, "Hank, scan for life signs."
Beast Hank McCoy rapidly typed on the keyboard, preparing to begin search and rescue with his teammates.
"I'll go support."
Rogue flew out of the jet first, her expression serious, ready to help.
"Whose body did he occupy?"
Approaching the plane at high speed, Shadow King's evil gaze swept over Storm in the cockpit, the little girl he once knew, had grown so much.
Unfortunately, although this human's ability also has infinite potential, her body is too fragile.
"Found her!" Shadow King's eyes lit up as he saw Rogue flying out of the jet. "A powerful body, a deadly ability, a mind full of loopholes—she's the one!"
Just as Rogue finished speaking, she leaned forward to accelerate towards the city center below, when suddenly she shivered, feeling a chill throughout her body, and the next second, her eyes glowed with an eerie light.
"Hmm?"
For some reason, Storm felt an ominous premonition. She saw Rogue, who was flying alongside the jet, turn her head with a strange expression, her evil gaze familiar and chilling.
"Hello, Ororo, You haven't forgotten me, have You!"
"Rogue, are You alright?"
Storm trembled all over.
What happened to Rogue? Everyone looked out the window.
"Her? She's better than ever, sleeping soundly!" Shadow King sneered, raising his palm to release brilliant Universe energy, piercing through the Blackbird jet.
The entire jet, trailing black smoke, plunged straight towards the ground.
"Oh no, Shadow King has successfully taken over Rogue's body." Wanda was startled by the anomaly in the sky, "Why didn't Professor X stop him?"
"Could it be that while he was fighting us, he hadn't stopped his psychic attacks on those global nuclear missile bases?"
"It's not impossible."
Russell narrowed his eyes, looking at 'Rogue' whose demeanor had completely changed, radiating a cold aura, and whose gaze was now fixed on them.
Dividing one's attention is difficult for ordinary people, but for powerful psychics, it's simple, especially for Shadow King, who is an energy entity of the multiverse, and cannot be viewed with common sense.
Born from the dark side of humanity in the multiverse, psychic attacks should be as easy as breathing for Shadow King, requiring no conscious effort to maintain.
"Now, Infinitoid, our second round can begin!"
Shadow King, like a falling star, enveloped in brilliant Universe energy, streaked across the sky and plunged downwards, his eyes burning with an eerie glow, locked onto Russell, who was hovering above the ruins below.
"Human, please me, the power of this body is stronger than Yours!"
"Of course, if You give me another surprise, I might consider using Your body instead, sitting on a throne piled with human skeletons, quietly watching the entire World be destroyed, allowing You to live until the very end."
"Joke!
No matter whose body You occupy, Your fate today will only be one word—lose!"
Russell's cape billowed in the strong wind.
Metal fragments circled around him, forming a deadly vortex.
The debris of the entire city became his weapon—twisted steel bars, broken bridges, abandoned cars, all levitated, their sharp points aimed at the golden meteor in the sky.
"This time, You won't escape again!"

This was chapter 79 80 and 81 and now i'm waiting for more again
