Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Thor's Interrogation

Kakashi Hatake stood behind the one-way mirror watching Agent Phil Coulson interrogate Thor Odinson who has woken up from his unconsciousness.

Coulson leaned forward, his voice calm but probing. "Alright, Thor, is that your name? let's start simple. Who are you, really?"

Thor's jaw tightened, his blue eyes staring straight ahead. Silence.

Coulson didn't flinch. "You took down twenty of our best agents with just your fists. Where'd you train to fight like that?"

No response. Thor's gaze was fixed on the wall, his expression a mix of defiance and shame.

Coulson pressed on, his tone sharper. "You kicked their butts with combat skills most soldiers only dream of. Who taught you? Military? Some secret dojo?"

Thor remained stone-faced. Coulson glanced at the mirror, catching Kakashi's eye. Kakashi nodded, his thoughts clear.

'He's not talking. Time to shake things up.' He scooped up Pakkun, who held Mjölnir in his teeth, and walked into the interrogation room.

Thor's eyes widened as Kakashi entered, the masked shinobi cradling a pug who casually carried the hammer like a chew toy. "Howww…" Thor mumbled, his voice a mix of shock and disbelief. "How can a mortal canine wield Mjölnir?"

Kakashi's eye crinkled, catching Thor's reaction. 'Bingo. He knows this hammer. That confirs that he was here for it.'

Pakkun wagged his tail, his thoughts smug. 'Look at this guy, boss. He's losing it over my new toy.' Thor's face twitched,

'That beast carries Mjölnir with its teeth! The disrespect to the greatest weapon in the Nine Realms! Yet… it deems the canine worthy, not me. I have no right to question its choice.' His shoulders slumped, his pride stung.

Coulson leaned back, his voice calm. "Well, that's a reaction. Kakashi was right—you know this hammer."

Kakashi set Pakkun down, the pug dropping Mjölnir with a thud. " Thor, you clearly know something about this thing. What is it?"

Thor's lips stayed sealed, his eyes flicking to the hammer. Kakashi tried another angle, his tone casual but sharp. "Alright, then tell me why I can't lift it. I gave it a shot, and it didn't budge."

Thor finally spoke, his voice low and heavy. "You mortals are not worthy of the hammer, human. And from the looks of it, neither am I."

Kakashi's eye narrowed, his thoughts racing.

'Worthy? That's a weird condition. Not strength, not chakra.'

"Worthy, huh? Not the answer I was looking for, but it's a start."

He leaned closer, his voice dropping. "Tell me about the runes on the hammer."

Thor's head snapped up, his eyes wide with surprise. "You can see the runes? Are you a sorcerer?" Hope flickered in his voice, his thoughts desperate.

'A sorcerer of Midgard! Perhaps he can open a portal to Asgard, return me to my home!' The idea of home, of redemption, burned in his chest.

Kakashi's eye crinkled, amused. "Nah, not a sorcerer. I'm a ninja."

Thor's face fell, his voice crestfallen. "Ninja?" What is this nonsense?" He slumped further, his hope fading.

Kakashi pressed on, his tone steady. "Yeah, ninja. I know a seal when I see one. Those runes— What do they do?"

Thor's silence returned, his jaw tight. Kakashi sighed, he straightened, turning to Coulson. "I'm done here. He's not talking, but I'd take what he says seriously. He's no ordinary guy."

Coulson nodded, his voice thoughtful. "You think he's telling the truth? About being… what, a god?"

Kakashi shrugged, his tone lazy. "Yo, he's something, alright. Not from around here, that's for sure. Keep him locked up, see if he cracks."

As he turned to leave, a faint vibration buzzed in his pocket. He reached in, pulling out a small tag etched with fuinjutsu seals—a communicator he'd crafted to mimic this world's cell phones.

'The Hounds in Hell's Kitchen. They've got something on the Hand.' His eye crinkled, his thoughts shifting. 'Perfect timing. Thor's not going anywhere, and I need to check this lead.'

He glanced at Coulson. "Yo, I'm heading out for a couple of days. My mission here's done, right?"

Coulson raised an eyebrow but didn't pry. "Yeah, you've done what we needed on the hammer. But I might call you back in a few days. We're not done with this… Thor situation."

"I am leaving Pakkun here if you need to move the hammer somewhere." Kakashi said

Kakashi nodded, his voice casual. "Got it. I'll be around." He was about to walk out but stopped.

'He could feel energy in the air. Not the chakra kind, someone is using magic.' Kakashi looked at Thor's cell but saw him seated but he was speaking to someone.

'But there is no one in the room. One of those invisibility spells? No, I would have sensed the man walk up in the room. Pakkun could also have smelled him and warned me. Then it must be another spell. Maybe something like a yamanaka, communiting directly to a person from a long distance. Well, It seems whoever it is, they are only interested in talking to Thor.'

After deciding that there was no harmful spell in play, he kept walking outside the shield facility.

He found a quiet corner outside the facility, away from prying eyes. He activated Kamui, his body disappearing.
