Morrison ended the call with Dave and strode toward the bathroom. Earlier in the car, he had held back his urges, but fate seemed to be on his side now—he wouldn't have to wait until they got back to Burg Eltz to enjoy her.
Dave was completely unaware of the subtle weight behind Morrison's promise to "take good care" of Lilian.
After hanging up, Morrison tossed his phone aside and pushed open the bathroom door.
Lilian, startled mid-shower, let out a sharp scream and hurriedly tried to cover herself. She never expected him to barge in while she was bathing. The sight of her so vulnerable quickened Morrison's breath.
In just a few steps, he closed the distance, yanked away her hands shielding herself, and pressed her firmly against the bathroom wall, capturing her lips in a searing kiss.
For Lilian, everything happened suddenly, catching her off guard—but for Morrison, this had been long planned.
