The sky is gradually getting darker.
What should have been a lively Bennett Family atmosphere was now tense and very dull.
The dining table was full of dishes, mostly those that Bella Green liked, because anything Bella liked would become Mason Bennett's favorite too.
But at this moment, the most important person was missing.
Noah Bennett came down from upstairs and saw Bellamy Homes, uncharacteristically without a smile, sitting there with a blank expression.
"Where's Mom?" He looked around and then asked.
"She hasn't come back, said she went to buy a cake for Mason."
Noah Bennett paused for a moment.
"Mason doesn't eat cake; he hasn't gotten one in years."
Mason Bennett was different from Victor Bennett; he didn't like commotion, sometimes even spending his birthdays on business trips, and even when he was home, it was just a quiet family meal.
