Bella Green was at a loss for words, unsure if it was his question that rendered her speechless or the unexpected encounter leaving her unsure how to face him...
After a long silence, Bella Green slowly spoke.
"I said I came to deliver something. I didn't know you were here."
The man responded with a grunt, then ungraciously continued, "A very poor excuse."
Bella Green's cheeks flushed, partially embarrassed and annoyed. The way he said it made it seem like she came looking for him on purpose!!
"Think whatever you want, I'm leaving."
Bella murmured before trying to pry open the iron-like grip of the large hand that held her.
Just as Bella was struggling with his fingers, suddenly, Mason Bennett pulled her into his embrace.
Caught off guard, Bella crashed into his chest and froze for a moment, then began to struggle frantically.
"Mason, didn't you say we broke up? Why are you still being a jerk? Do you really think you can have your way with me just like that?"
