Gu's mother poured a glass of water for Gu Yi and handed it to her, then pulled up a stool to sit down.
"How come you have time to come over today?"
Gu Yi took a sip of water and told Gu's mother about the sprouts matter.
Gu's mother didn't think it was such a big deal. She only knew Gu Yi was selling sprouts, but Gu Yi hadn't told her how many she could sell in a day, so Gu's mother thought it was okay if she couldn't sell them. At least Gu Yi could have a bit more free time.
"So what do you plan to do now?"
"I plan to let my in-laws continue with the sprouts, and I want to go to the county to see if I can find some work to do."
"Why go to the county? You're a young girl; if there's nothing to do, just stay at home. The Ye Family won't let you go hungry."
