Chapter 78 - Warden of the Ash Chains

Infinity – Chapter: Warden of the Ash Chains

Kael vs. Baelgor Vrax – Part 4

Location: The Iron Crucible – Subspace Arena (Phase Shifted)

The air convulsed.

Crimson veins cracked through the metal floor. Every wall of the Iron Crucible pulsed with ancient, malevolent heat. The chains hanging across the arena shivered like serpents sensing blood.

Baelgor Vrax stood tall, body transforming.

Molten flesh peeled away, revealing a hardened exoskeleton of blackened iron and glowing infernal runes. His horns twisted into a crown of jagged ashsteel. His arms lengthened, covered in bracers made of chain-linked bones. From his back sprouted six spectral iron chains—alive, writhing.

Baelgor (voice deeper, echoing like a furnace):

"You've survived long enough, human. But I am no longer just a devil…"

The heat intensified, forming a fiery vortex around him.

Baelgor:

"I am Baelgor Vrax—Warden of the Ash Chains, keeper of infernal souls. And now... you are mine."

Kael shielded himself as the pressure spiked. His aura flared violently in response, wind and darkness forming a barrier just to keep him from being crushed.

Kael (gritting his teeth):

"He's changed the field… even my aura feels heavy."

He raised Tenebris, trying to steady his breath.

Aura Clash – Phase Two Begins

Baelgor surged forward without warning.

Kael barely blocked the first strike—Tenebris grinding against a flaming chain-sword. Sparks erupted. The air split apart from the force of the blow.

Another chain snapped toward Kael's ribs—he ducked and sent a burst of cutting wind to counter. The chain hissed, recoiling.

But Baelgor was already behind him.

A kick to the spine sent Kael sprawling forward.

He hit the wall—hard.

Kael (coughing blood):

"He's too fast now…"

Baelgor advanced with his arms spread, laughing.

Baelgor:

"Do you see it now? Your wind has no place here. Darkness? Ha! A child's toy compared to my dominion."

Kael spun, slashing with Tenebris and releasing a black spiral arc—

Baelgor caught it midair and crushed it in his hand.

Chains burst from the ground beneath Kael.

CRACK—CLANG—SHINK!

Three spikes of molten iron shot into Kael's legs and abdomen, pinning him to the wall.

He screamed as blood sprayed out, his sword falling from his grip.

Baelgor (slowly approaching):

"You've danced well, little one. But all blades dull… all storms fade."

Kael's arms trembled.

He couldn't breathe.

His aura was nearly gone.

The chains burned into his body. His vision blurred.

Baelgor stepped close—towering over him like a demonic executioner.

Baelgor (raising a fourth spike):

"This is the end. Your soul… will feed the Ash Vault."

The Fall… and the Spark

Kael's head fell forward. Blood trickled down his jaw. His body was going numb.

"So… this is it…"

He saw flashes—memories like burning glass:

His old squad. His friend who died on a failed mission. The faces of those he couldn't save. The shame. The failure.

The weakness.

"I never wanted power to destroy. Only to protect…"

And then—

Liora's face appeared in his mind.

Smiling faintly.

Trusting him.

"No… if this devil can invade minds, show memories—then the others… they'll be attacked too."

"Liora… she'll break. I've seen her walls."

His fingers twitched.

"I can't let that happen."

"I don't care if I die. But I won't die with my back turned."

The Aura Returns

A sudden pulse.

Kael's wind aura flickered.

Then dark mist bloomed around his boots.

Baelgor paused, sensing resistance.

Kael's head lifted, slow but deliberate.

His eyes glowed dimly—faint black embers returning to life.

Kael (rasping):

"You're wrong…"

The spikes began to tremble.

Kael:

"This isn't the end. I don't die until I win."

"You can burn my body, devil... but my will doesn't break."

Baelgor snarled. The runes on his body glowed brighter. His chains roared forward to finish it.

But Kael's aura erupted.

A cyclone of black and white exploded from his chest, blowing away the molten ash and cracking the wall behind him.

The spikes shattered.

Kael dropped to one knee—bloodied but standing.

He reached for Tenebris. And this time, the sword answered—glowing with fused dark-wind resonance.

Baelgor's eyes narrowed. His joy faded.

Baelgor (growling):

"You dare stand again?"

Kael rose, dragging Tenebris across the floor, aura swirling around him like a hurricane.

Kael (calmly):

"I'm not just standing."

"I'm about to end you."

Infinity – Chapter: Surge of the Twin Storms

Kael vs. Baelgor Vrax – Part 6

Location: The Iron Crucible – Subspace Arena

The Iron Crucible roared in fury.

Stormwinds clashed with burning chains. A thousand shards of molten iron hung in the air like frozen lightning. The arena had become a battlefield of gods.

Kael stood tall—wind spiraling violently around his body, dark aura bleeding into the air like smoke from a collapsed star. In his right hand, Tenebris pulsed with fused energy—its blade longer, sharper, trailing streaks of black mist and silver sparks.

Baelgor's face twisted—not in amusement this time, but in warning. His molten chains hung like vipers, coiled and ready, and his infernal body radiated fury.

Baelgor (growling):

"I see it now. Your second soul… your forbidden affinity. You've been hiding it like a coward." but for now you can't defeat me and you dare to rise again from the ground you lowly mortal

Kael (calm, sharp) without saying anything

In a flash of wind, Kael disappeared.

Clash of Storm and Flame

CLANG!

Kael reappeared above Baelgor—Tenebris swinging down like a divine guillotine. The devil raised a chained arm to block, but the impact cracked his gauntlet.

A shockwave rippled through the arena, scattering iron debris in every direction.

Kael vanished again—this time reappearing at Baelgor's side, slashing horizontally. A pulse of dark wind exploded on contact, sending Baelgor skidding backward.

Baelgor:

"Enough!"

He roared, lashing out with five infernal chains. They tore through the air, aiming for Kael's legs, torso, and throat.

Kael's wind aura flared—Gale Pulse. He spun midair, dodging the strikes in a spiraling burst, then drove Tenebris into the ground.

A tornado burst upward.

Baelgor was caught in it briefly, his chains flailing wildly. But he gritted his teeth, slamming his palms together.

Baelgor (chanting):

"Ash-born vaults, bind this storm—Infernal Cage!"

Black flames formed a net above them, collapsing downward.

Kael leapt away—his boots scraping against a molten ledge—only to be struck by a whip of flame across his back.

He grunted, but didn't stop.

Tenebris Unleashed

He spun, pointing Tenebris forward. For a moment, it seemed to breathe—its surface pulsing with both elements now fully awakened.

Wind howled from its edge. Shadows bent toward it like metal to a magnet.

Kael (voice low):

"Tenebris… let's cut through hell."

He dashed forward again.

Each swing was more refined. The wind didn't just slash—it carved the air with precision. The dark aura didn't just corrupt—it devoured incoming flame, absorbing the heat and twisting it back.

Baelgor began to falter.

His arm cracked.

His stance loosened.

Chains missed their mark.

For a moment—Kael was winning.

Kael (in thought):

"I've got him… just a little more—!"

But then—

Baelgor (voice like thunder):

"ENOUGH!"

The Crucible exploded with rage.

Baelgor slammed his fists together—his chains writhed like serpents before merging into a massive, molten cleaver made of compressed souls and flame.

Baelgor (eyes glowing):

"I am the Warden. I hold dominion over ash, pain… and pride!"

He leapt into the air.

Kael didn't flinch. He followed.

Their auras surged. The battlefield bent under the weight of their clash.

Tenebris spiraled with wind and darkness, while Baelgor's infernal cleaver radiated with volcanic destruction.

Kael (shouting):

"This ends now!"

Baelgor:

"Fall, mortal!"

Final Clash –

The two warriors met mid-air, their weapons colliding in a cataclysmic burst of light and sound.

BOOOOOOM!

Wind and flame exploded outward.

The entire Crucible cracked.

Chains shattered.

Molten ash rose like a geyser into the dark sky of the subspace realm.

Kael's teeth were gritted—his eyes glowing fiercely.

Baelgor roared, pushing forward.

Tenebris and the cleaver sparked in the air—locked in a deadly stalemate.

And then—

Black cracks formed across Kael's arm.

Flames licked across Baelgor's ribs.

Both refused to fall.

Their final push began.

And then one more clash ,whole battlefield was now in smoke

Covered with the aura , cracks in sub space
