Going back further, their interactions with the police would trace back 20 years ago, when an old man from the village grew a field of opium poppies.
But that wasn't really much to talk about.
The records clearly noted that the old man's ailments required opium for pain relief, so he thought there was no big deal in using it and thus boldly planted them in a small field he developed in a mountain valley.
Unexpectedly, it happened to be spotted by two policemen on motorcycles at the mountain top enjoying the lake view. They saw the colorful field below, thought they were wildflowers, and decided to climb down to pick some for their little daughters at home...
