"Hmm, what's up?" Clarissa asked curiously.
On the phone, Sophie Wilson said she had some matters she wanted to discuss with her in person, but Clarissa really couldn't figure out what Sophie needed her for.
If it was to ask for help... she felt it was unlikely.
Just from seeing Sophie's boyfriend last time, Clarissa could tell that if anything came up, Sophie's boyfriend could handle it.
"Then I'll get straight to the point," Sophie said with a smile, "I was adopted by my parents, and recently, I discovered some things."
"The person who gave me to my adoptive father at that time left me a large sum of money. I recently found out that the money belonged to me, so I took it back."
"And my adoptive father's daughter always felt that I stole their family's property and wanted to take revenge on me."
As Clarissa listened, she nodded along, puzzled as to why Sophie was telling her this but still well-mannered enough to let her continue.
