As soon as the dish entered his mouth, and his tongue tasted that flavor, Kai Bright felt as if he had been struck by lightning, leaving him utterly out of sorts.
This taste—he'd exhausted all his life's learning, yet couldn't find the words to describe it.
"Delicious, right?" Charles Seymour's voice floated over; although his tone was no different from usual, Kai heard the intense murderous intent in those three words, each word cutting like a knife, incredibly sharp.
If he dared to say it wasn't tasty, he reckoned he could be sliced to death.
"Delicious." Kai Bright summoned his most honed acting skills from training, displaying a look of surprise and joy, "Sophie, I didn't expect your first try at cooking to be this good. You truly have a gift."
"Really?" Sophie Wilson looked at Kai Bright in surprise. Honestly, when Charles Seymour praised her cooking earlier, she was a bit skeptical.
Now that Kai said so, she started to believe it a bit.
