Back home, Kai Bright is in the living room watching something on his laptop, and Sophie Wilson greets him with a smile, "Cousin."
"Sophie, you're back." Kai waves and smiles in greeting, "You tell me, it's so chaotic on site, and you still insisted I shouldn't go. If I went, I could at least protect you a bit."
"It's fine, with Mr. Seymour around, there's no problem at all." Sophie blurted out, causing Kai to feel a little downhearted.
He was just concerned about his cousin, so why did he end up being fed a mouthful of dog food?
In a daze, Kai heard Sophie asking, "Cousin, what are you having for dinner?"
It immediately snapped him out of it, and he quickly blurted out, "You cooking?"
"No, the chef is cooking." Sophie looked at Kai in confusion, then reacted and laughed, "Cousin, do you want to eat my cooking?"
"...Yeah, I want to!" Kai mustered all his skills to squeeze out a genuinely perfect smile, making such an insincere statement sound truthful.
