"What does my identity have to do with him?" Charles Seymour's blunt words infuriated Ethan Seymour, who could no longer hold back, and he shouted, "I am your father! Don't you think it matters?"
Charles replied coldly, "You've already announced in the newspaper that you've severed ties."
This statement left Ethan Seymour stuck, his face flushed and neck thick with anger. Even so, he defiantly said, "You intentionally made me sever ties with you just to clear our relationship!"
"Do you think I care about those few dirty pieces of your money?" Ethan Seymour questioned harshly, putting on an air of high integrity, seemingly above worldly concerns.
Charles asked indifferently, "If that's the case, why are you getting so worked up?"
"You..." Ethan Seymour hadn't expected Charles to respond so defiantly, leaving him no face.
Old Mr. Seymour became increasingly curious. Listening to Ethan's words, it seemed that Charles's identity wasn't simple.
