"James." Hayley Cole edged closer and said to James Reed, "I'm heading back."
"Miss Cole, should I have the driver take you home? It's so late, it's not safe for a girl like you," James Reed said hastily.
"No need, you go ahead with your business," Hayley Cole replied with a cheerful smile, in a good mood, letting everything slide.
"I'll see you out," James Reed, as the "host," insisted on seeing his guest out.
"James, I'll go with you to see Miss Cole out." Ophelia Wilson immediately, sensibly took James Reed's arm and said, considering Hayley Cole, "If you see Miss Cole out alone, I'm afraid there might be misunderstandings that could affect Miss Cole's reputation."
