It wasn't until the afternoon of the next day that she slowly awoke. By then, the fever had already subsided, leaving needle marks on the back of her hand.
When she woke up, there was no one to take care of her, so she went to the kitchen and helped herself to half a bowl of leftover porridge.
She lay there, feeling completely groggy.
