Looking up, she exchanged glances with the man she hadn't seen for several days, Jiayu felt a bit awkward, perhaps because they had already hashed things out. In Jiayu's view, there shouldn't be any more interactions between them, but he seemed to think differently.
Just like now, late at night, Jiayu really didn't know why he had come.
"You..."
She moved her lips but didn't know what to say, so she simply closed her mouth again.
Mu Ke's cool gaze cut straight through the soft yellow light, looking at her, carrying with it a barely noticeable trace of affection. He wasn't one to easily show emotions, but some clues still couldn't be hidden.
Mu Ke stepped forward and raised the bag in his hand: "I came to deliver medication to Aunt."
He was a guest, and though it was late now, there seemed no reason to turn him away, especially since he had such a legitimate reason.
Jiayu nodded, turned around, and led Mu Ke inside.
"My mom is already resting, you can give me the medicine."
