In fact, Bayern's right-back Gatman also had a great opportunity this year, his team honors were far stronger than Neville's.
But unfortunately... Gatman's performance in the Champions League final was not good.
Similarly... Bayern's goalkeeper Bauer, who originally had a great chance to be the best goalkeeper in the Champions League, ultimately did not make it to the best lineup.
Because in the Champions League final, he was blown away by Lu Yang.
Santos, Apple, Gatman, Bauer, all were blown away.
Five goals in nine minutes!
No matter what, players who become the background of such records could not possibly win any honors that year.
It's too fatal!
For the same reason, Real Madrid's goalkeeper Igor Luis, who was also a best goalkeeper candidate, also failed to qualify.
Chelsea's goalkeeper Peter Cech got injured at the worst time and didn't show any dominant performances.
