Of course, is there a Serie A team more miserable than Inter Milan?
Yes!
Tottenham didn't get discouraged after Milan treated them coldly.
They immediately offered 28 million euros for Lazio's central forward Duwan Ilic.
Duwan, who wanted to go to Atletico Madrid last year but didn't succeed, is determined to leave this time.
This season, due to Duwan's passive play, Lazio's overall performance has been unsatisfactory, even worse than last year, so they know they can't keep Duwan any longer.
If they keep him, Duwan will leave for free.
28 million euros, deal!
At the same time, young Nils, who transferred from Arsenal to Lazio last year, also received an offer from Premier League's Newcastle United.
Nils was, of course, delighted.
With the precedent set by Duwan, Lazio didn't force Nils to stay. After some negotiations, they sold him for 11 million euros, making a substantial profit off him.
This deal was profitable.
