It's fine to chip away at some Life Points.
Alice's two magical girls, thanks to their effect boosts, have the ability to strike three times, which can conveniently clear out Shen Sui's starting field.
Perhaps the only consolation is that aside from that naval treaty card, Lexington and her group don't have too crazy of effects...
Thinking this, Alice entered the battle phase and was instantly dumbfounded.
"What on earth is this?!"
Alice pointed at Saratoga's 15,000 Spirit Value, shouting.
"Well, when entering the battle phase, Essex's effect inevitably activates." Shen Sui shrugged and explained, "I place an [Essex Class] derivative on any remaining spaces in my Magic Area and Follower Area."
"But that's still not right!"
"All [Essex Class] derivatives are treated as [CV] followers, and each additional [CV] follower on the field increases Saratoga's Spirit Value by 500."
