Du Xixi's appetite now is at best that of an average person, though luckily, Ke Xing and his son have large appetites. Even though finishing everything left them stuffed, nothing was wasted at all.
Ke Xing rubbed his stomach, wanting to get up, but chose to sit for a while longer. Looking satisfied, he said, "I'm really full! But I might have to go out for a walk again."
He had gone for a walk in the morning because he had nothing to do after breakfast, heading out to chat with old friends. But the walk later was because he was too full; without walking off his meal, he felt his stomach wouldn't be able to handle it.
Ke Lian's digestive system is obviously a bit better than Ke Xing's. After some light rubbing, his slightly furrowed brows relaxed a bit, and he leaned lazily against the back of the chair, absentmindedly playing with Du Xixi's fingers: "I have to head back to the Military Department to deal with some things, but I'll be back before dinner."
