Six people, three men and three women, make up three pairs. Seeing this, Lawrence Winters happily sat beside Kenneth Osborne.
The meals had been ordered earlier and were served as soon as everyone arrived.
Lawrence noticed there were dishes she liked and said to Kenneth, "You should order something you like, too!"
Kenneth glanced at her and chuckled, "All the dishes here are good. I like them all."
"Suit yourself." Lawrence just wanted to reciprocate the kindness, and left it at that.
Everyone started eating, chatting and laughing, in a cheerful mood.
After a while, Blake Leaf toasted Kenneth, laughing and saying, "I'll rely on the boss's guidance in the future!"
They all knew that Blake had signed with Kenneth's startup, and now they were both boss and subordinate, as well as colleagues.
Kenneth took a sip, smiling as he said, "The company doesn't have extra hands yet, besides writing programs, you'll have to pitch in with other things too."
