Xirong Manor.
Ning Zheng was in secluded cultivation, studying this huge haul.
"The Shadow Crocodile Immortal Venerate did step into the Prehistoric, but I immediately put it to sleep, didn't let it fully take the last step—it's just a slumbering Celestial Phenomenon Immortal Venerate."
His original intent had been to try and cross that threshold completely in the Prehistoric, becoming a Celestial Phenomenon Immortal Venerate.
But he had a vague premonition that once he fully entered that Realm, he would end up confining himself within it.
One proof, proof for all time.
The past, the present, the future would all synchronize.
Don't be fooled by how the Celestial Phenomenon Immortal Venerates are "dead" in the future—in truth, in the future they Harmonize, becoming one of the laws of Heaven and Earth.
That doesn't count as death at all.
You can only say that the [past] version hasn't slept, and the [future] version is sleeping like the dead.
