When Ethan returned to the garden, West awkwardly smiled at him.
"Ethan, I lied to you. Actually, the teacher didn't leave anything; Ain wanted to see you."

Ethan felt it was strange from the start. Hughes shouldn't have such habits, but due to his not-so-bad relationship with West, he came in anyway.
