Cheng Long has always been a racing enthusiast. As early as '81, he went to America to star in a racing-related movie, "The Cannonball Run," forming an inseparable bond with Mitsubishi Motors.
Since then, in his modern-day films, you can usually spot Mitsubishi cars, including but not limited to the GTO, EVO, Pajero, and other classic models. Mitsubishi even custom-made the Cheng Long special edition 8.5 generation EVO for him.
In the '90s, after Cheng Long achieved fame and success, he hosted multiple charity racing events called Cheng Long Cup. During that era, famous Asian actresses like Mei Yanfang, Chiu Shuchen, Wang Zuxian, Kudou Shizuka, among others, participated in the racing events, a stunning display of competing beauties.
Entering the 21st century, Cheng Long established the Cheng Long DC Team, recruiting two top Chinese drivers, Cheng Fei and Dong Hebin, and won the 2017 Le Mans LMP2 Group's annual championship.
