Black clouds drifted, and in the instant they covered the moon, heaven and earth suddenly dimmed.

The Elder's expression shifted, and he descended onto a moon-obscured mountain top, staring at a black shadow that had just landed in the distance. He asked coldly, "Who are you really?"

The night wind swept through, stirring eerie screeches in the deep mountains.

The shadow, holding a sword cultivator who was already unconscious with one hand, slowly turned around. The head above its collar suddenly transformed into a pitch-black wolf head. The wolf head turned, grinning, revealing gums streaked with blood and interlocking fangs.

The Elder froze.

Then, from beside him came a "tee-hee-hee" laugh, and a red-robed fox sauntered out, swaying, cradling its chin in its arms and leaning against a cold precipice.

These two were none other than General Gu and Granny Hong.
