The carpet by the bed in the bedroom was strewn with Leng Yichen's clothes. Leng Yichen picked up the clothes scattered on the floor, methodically put them on one by one, and remained silent throughout.

Feeling powerless, Bai Yiran took a shower in the bathroom. When she came out, it was already midnight. Leng Yichen had left her here alone, far from the city center, and at such a late hour, she couldn't find a car. Wang Hai was probably with Leng Yichen and likely wouldn't come back to pick her up.
Bai Yiran let out a bitter laugh and lay back on the bed.
