Every night before bed, Wu Chengzu would go into Bai Yiran's room to watch her for a while.
He wouldn't do anything, just sit on a chair and watch her, occasionally asking her a few questions, but she never responded.
Even so, Wu Chengzu would still come. Just watching her would make him sleep well at night.

Wu Chengzu made a sound of acknowledgment and turned to head towards Yao Zhiqing's room. The room Yao Zhiqing stayed in was in a suite with Bai Yiran, and the two rooms were across from each other. Basically, if any noise was slightly loud, it could be heard from the other side.
