In the study, Zhou Jiao noticed it was late. She had covered almost everything she needed to, and didn't plan to finish the rest in one night. She neatly stored the items away, and stuffed local specialties from various places under the bookshelf.
"Your uncle's family often comes here, so keep it minimal. I'll tell you when they're gone," she instructed.
Zhou Jiao nodded and didn't add much more. She took some of everything and placed them in the room, reminding him, "Dad, remember to tell me if anything suits your taste. I bought a lot of red wine and coffee this time because I was worried you'd be unaccustomed to being back home after staying abroad for so long."
