Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 (Zombie Apocalypse (4))

Scene 1 – The Mirror World Deal

Ron was stunned.

"You want... the Mirror World?" he asked, eyes wide. "Okay... I'll give it to you, but I don't even know how to give you the Mirror World."

Mr. Gonzalez simply smiled. "We'll talk about that later. For now—go save your town."

As he spoke, reality began to ripple like water.

Ron blinked—and suddenly, he was in outer space.

One layer of reality shattered, revealing another dimension. That shattered, revealing another. Again. And again. Ron fell through ten layers of shifting, unstable realms before a system message echoed:

[YOU HAVE ENTERED: PHENOM'S LANDLOT]

There was no land. Only white void and countless grey boxes drifting like gas molecules. Ron found himself standing atop a floating black cube, slowly spinning through space.

Across from him stood Skelly.

"You," Ron said. "Why did you attack Hero Town?"

Skelly didn't answer. He stared at Ron, silent.

Scene 2 – Hero Town, 8 Months Later

Back on Earth, eight months had passed since Ron vanished.

Carter, badly injured, had been delivered to Ron's house by DA. Survivors from across Hero Town had taken refuge in two safe zones: Bruce's technologically advanced mansion and Ron's magically shielded home. Military personnel and high-ranking officials had retreated to isolated bases. But no place was truly safe.

Zombies kept coming.

At one point, Bruce's mansion nearly fell—until the mysterious man with a cane appeared. He summoned a colossal creature that absorbed the surrounding zombies. Then, like a sentinel, the beast remained, guarding the mansion. The man vanished without a trace.

Meanwhile, Dream's black hole-like barrier around Ron's house continued to repel the undead. Lia and others used every opportunity to attack from within the shield.

When DA arrived with Carter, his overwhelming aura forced even the zombies to collapse. Inside the barrier, people hit the ground from the sheer pressure—everyone except Dream. DA left Carter and vanished into thin air.

The military had failed.

99% of humanity was infected or zombified.

There was no known cure. No hope. Until now.

Scene 3 – Betrayal and Revelation

Back in Phenom's Landlot, Skelly finally spoke.

"You've misunderstood everything," he said. "I'm not your enemy. Dr. Thomas is the true evil."

Ron stepped forward. "What are you talking about? Why would he help me? Teach me his sorcery? You're the one who attacked my town!"

Skelly's tone darkened. "Thomas is using you, Ron. He needs your powers. His goal is to destroy the universe and rule what remains."

Ron clenched his fists. "Nonsense. You don't know anything. Yardy and I—"

"Yardy?" Skelly interrupted. "You think meeting him was an accident? Nothing about your journey has been a coincidence."

Skelly extended his hand. "Join me. Help me stop Dr. Thomas—before it's too late."

The void trembled.

A rift split open behind Skelly. A man stepped through.

It was Dr. Thomas.

His eyes glowed purple. A terrifying aura radiated from him, even more potent than Carter's. Ron staggered back, barely able to stay on his feet.

Dr. Thomas's voice was cold. "You disappoint me, Skelly. You were one of my first—and finest—creations."

Skelly roared and pulled out his sword. He struck—but the blade melted on contact with Thomas's aura. Skelly recoiled in horror.

"If you want to save your town," Skelly gasped to Ron, "lend me a hand!"

Dr. Thomas's lips moved, but before Ron could hear—

[THE FOURTH WALL HAS BLOCKED 'BLACK SORCERY']

The spell failed. Ron could hear Skelly—but not Thomas.

Dr. Thomas smiled. "My plans will succeed, no matter the cost."

Skelly launched a furious barrage of punches, shattering the dimension around them. They were blasted into outer space—decillions of light years away from Earth.

Skelly summoned a miniature sun and hurled it.

Dr. Thomas glared. The sun vanished.

Skelly spun—Dr. Thomas was already behind him.

A hand pierced through Skelly's chest.

"I've waited hundreds of years," Thomas whispered. "I will not let you—or anyone—ruin this."

Skelly's body began to vaporize. Purple blood streamed from his mouth. With his last strength, he looked at Ron and sent a final telepathic message:

"To the future."

Ron stepped toward Thomas. "Hey, Doc… that was insane. You two are on a whole other level."

Thomas patted Ron on the shoulder.

And with a blink—

Ron was back on Earth.

Scene 4 – The Throne Room

Dr. Thomas returned to his dimension. He walked alone through a dark tunnel in an ancient graveyard until he reached a light in the distance.

It opened into a crumbling throne room, high above the void of the first dimension. The purple sky stretched endlessly behind it.

On the throne sat a dying man—his body in ruins, cut in half, yet somehow still alive. Only his right hand, upper chest, and head remained.

Dr. Thomas dropped to his knees beside him. Tears fell from his eyes.

"I'll save you," he whispered. "Just a little more time. I'm almost there. Then… we'll kill the Watcher of the Universe."

A flashback surfaced.

A younger Dr. Thomas, just a boy, walked through the grand halls of a royal palace. Ahead of him walked another boy—older. Their families had served side by side for millions of years. They trained together. Trusted each other.

But Thomas murmured under his breath, full of bitterness: "You will pay."

The flash faded.

Dr. Thomas gripped the dying man's hand.

"Just wait. We're almost there."

Scene 5 – Return to Earth

Ron appeared in front of Dream.

She sat quietly, staring up at him. For a long moment, they just looked at each other.

Finally, she spoke. "What? Is something wrong?"

Ron shook his head. Behind him, Carter and the others were laughing and eating. He turned and smiled.

"The main boss is dead," Ron said. "Now we just need to clean up the zombies."

Carter stood and hugged him. "I knew you'd pull it off!"

Cheers erupted across the room.

Then—a letter dropped from the air.

Dream caught it.

The text danced in a strange, arcane language. Dream's eyes glowed as she translated.

"There are two ways to end this," she said. "The easiest way is using the magnifying glass. There's a spell—once cast on the glass, it will absorb all zombies created by the purple fog."

She flipped the page.

"For the rest—the infected who are still human—we can mix the spell into water. Anyone who drinks it will be cured within a week. The spell… it's Black Sorcery."

Ron smiled.

Then looked at the magnifying glass.
