Getting into the car, Mason saw Aurelia Shaw curled up in the corner, hugging her knees. The bloodstains on her body hadn't been cleaned off yet, emitting a faint smell of blood. Her pale cheeks were splashed with blood, her lashes were lowered, hiding her eyes, and in the aloof coolness was an accidental glimpse of hurt.
