"Waiting for me to blow it dry for you?" Mason Nightshade teased with a smile.
Aurelia Shaw lazily drooped her eyes, turned over, and lay on his long legs, "You always blow it dry for me when you're back."
Mason Nightshade looked at the cat on his legs, feeling an itch in his heart.
He swallowed, restraining the heat rising within him.
Teasingly, he asked her, "What if I don't come?"
"Then I'll just sleep like this; the weather is warm now, and it'll dry by itself overnight," Aurelia said.
Mason Nightshade's brows furrowed deeply, scooping her up into his arms with one hand, grabbing the hairdryer from the table.
The strands in his palm were smooth and slightly cool, carrying a faint scent of shampoo that lingered in Mason Nightshade's nostrils. His gaze deepened as thoughts filled his mind.
No matter what, he has to come every night; his cat is terrible at taking care of herself, sleeping with wet hair could lead to a cold.
