Liu Gu stood frozen, thinking of Bai Ling, and then thought of many other things. Finally, he spoke:

"It seems you don't quite understand the position of National Preceptor," Zhu Tong said. "Gu Wei once said before his death, the best National Preceptor is not chosen by man, but by the heavens."
