Chapter 68 - Chapter 24: Solo Charge Against the Enemy! Slashing Blades and Breaking Arrows! (Part 3)

A cheer erupted like a landslide and tsunami!

At the moment of engagement, several of Duke Dingtiger's Personal Guard fell from their horses in chaos. About a dozen knights fought desperately to protect him and break out of the encirclement, abandoning the British Legion on the battlefield and retreating towards the back of the forest.

The main commander's Personal Guard was defeated, and the battlefield immediately became a one-sided slaughter.

The British Legion collapsed, with many dying while being pursued!

"There's a situation."

Crow Queen - Triss suddenly said, "The Britons seem to have lost!"

The Saxon Chieftain's Guard bit down hard from behind, intending to directly kill Duke Dingtiger.

"Is he going to die here?"

"If that's the case, has King Uther, with Merlin's help, turned into his likeness and slept with his wife?"

Duncan's expression shifted, and he said directly, "Wait here for me."

But this time, the situation was different.

Severus shook his head slightly and said, "I'm going too."

Duncan realized that he had regained his combat strength and nodded slightly.

Crow Queen - Triss gazed at Duncan, her tone firm, "I've recovered quite a bit over this period, I can lend you a hand!"

This is Great Britain.

There are many who possess supernatural powers here; she wasn't questioning Duncan's individual prowess but was concerned about encountering other supernatural beings.

Can they establish a foothold in this world?

Can they change history?

Duncan wanted to know if he could save this 'destined to die' man.

Duke Dingtiger fled in distress under the protection of his Personal Guard, pursued only by the Barbarian Chieftain's Guard. Their numbers weren't large, and Duncan was confident in fighting them.

He never fully trusted King Uther, who had massacred wizards.

Crow Queen - Triss seeking Merlin's help didn't inspire much confidence, only because he was one of the most skilled prophets of the time.

The patch of Iceland was reserved as a retreat for the Norse Pantheon. She was, in a sense, pulling a tiger's whiskers. (Iceland, as a forward base, would enable the development of Gellanling Island.)

"Come on!"

"Enter the major events of history from here!"

"As long as Duke Dingtiger is alive, his power struggle with King Uther is not over. If I, a foreigner, want to gain a foothold on Great Britain, I must find opportunities in the turmoil."

"If King Uther fully grasps power, it will be even harder for me to rise!"

Starting from his own interests.

Duncan did not want the unification of Great Britain under a king; he wanted strife among the heroes, which meant King Uther must not control all power.

Kill!

Duncan's figure gradually approached the edge of the battlefield; Duke Dingtiger's Personal Guard, in confusion, was getting closer and closer to them.

Arrows piercing the sky.

Duncan, taking a 45-degree trajectory, shot down a Saxon rider who had charged into the woods. The forest somewhat affected the shooting, but luckily, his archery skills were good enough, and his feel was excellent at the moment.

Master Level combat skills are the beginning of a qualitative change.

—Summon mount.

A whistle, and the riderless warhorse galloped towards him.

First kill!

Severus acted quickly; he uttered an ancient whisper, making the enemy's warhorse in front of him seem to lose control, rushing towards him wildly, then suddenly rearing up its hooves with a neigh, causing the Saxon rider to almost fall in panic.

The horse became uncontrollable.

The Druid's supernatural power had an effect.

Severus leapt up and hammered the enemy down, the second hammer smashing the head open, then swiftly mounted the horse.

Having spent so much time with Duncan, he too grew fond of headshots.

He truly became an elite unit!

Severus, through some peculiar Supernatural Ability, influenced the enemy warhorse, and tamed it.

A Druid is indeed still a Druid.

Crow Queen - Triss released arrows from her hand, while Witch - Anya caused chaos among the horses; the two witches worked together, creating confusion among a small enemy cavalry unit.

—Resting Horse Arrow!

Second kill!

Duncan shot an arrow, knocking down a chieftain guard. Crow Queen - Triss mounted her horse and also had the energy to carry the female slave as pillion. The slave spoke little and had a natural stutter, having almost no presence along the way, just serving the two witches.

At this moment, the Saxon riders finally reacted in panic. Duncan turned and drew his bow, firing two shots continuously to kill another enemy.

Third kill!

"Watch out!"

"He's a marksman!" The Saxon riders were in a complete frenzy.

At this time, Witch - Anya also whispered gently, as if summoning, with riderless horses coming to her side automatically. Her riding skill was good, and she mounted to follow.

A party of five.

After Severus regained his strength, they finally looked a bit like an elite squad.

Duncan's figure led the charge!

He directly dashed out of the forest, intercepting the chieftain guards pursuing Duke Dingtiger midway. These were strong fighters, all one-star units, with two marked as two-star, denoting Saxon elite noble knights.

"Reinforcements?"

Someone from Duke Dingtiger's Personal Guard noticed, but seeing only one person, they hesitated greatly and continued their frantic retreat.

Duncan rode in solo!

The other four, having seized horses, retreated along the woods, while the witches sought opportunities for ranged spell support.

Their melee abilities were too weak, and their riding skills were not sophisticated enough.

—Resting Horse Arrow!

On horseback, Duncan drew his bow, at a 180-degree swivel, and shot back again, dropping another, though heavily armored, the shot didn't penetrate, instead causing severe injury upon falling.

The heavy cavalry's equipment was too good.

The Northern Land's war bow felt a bit underpowered as his strength grew; he urgently needed a Curiosities-level war bow.
