Dragons?
In the era of the Middle Ages, dragons were the watershed of mythology.
Especially after the Norse Pantheon started to become active, the existence of giant dragons became more prominent in myths and legends. The church also had many legends about giant dragons, even portraying Satan as a seven-headed red dragon wearing a crown. After the Mythical Era ended, among the numerous monster legends, without a doubt, those related to dragons were in the top tier, their spread significantly wider.
Anya's magic power is lower, much like a half-filled bottle of water sloshing around, after all, she is a two-star whiteboard, unlike the Crow Queen-Triss who has an extremely large magic pool.
When Anya casts a spell, she only uses that much magic power, able to perform magic of such strength.
But the Crow Queen-Triss is different. She can only output that much magic power, only able to perform lower-tier spells, and once the limit is exceeded, she might suffer a magic backlash.
